Most definitely!! Hate those bugs.

 

my garden is near a 6ft fence that i plan to attach the houses to. i'll put them against the top rail that way they are up higher away from little hands. from what i read most of the mason bees are pretty docile and shouldnt try to sting unless provoked.

 

Got back today from the beach since Saturday. Zucchini to 24” and big ground as my leg, big yeller squash too. Tossed about 50lbs in the mulch pile, got a 5 gallon bucket of smaller stuff. Has turned off dry here. Watered some and more this eve. Beans about as long as pinky finger. Got a half quart of big blueberries that are just starting in. June bugs are in them now and gonna spray a bit of sevin tomorrow.

 

Saw tomato damage on one 3 bigger tomatoes we planted...sure enough found this

Made blueberry jam tonight.

 

I've found 4 of those rotten things so far. All have been little, but still chomped some

 

I'm gonna cut the garlic scapes after tomorrows rains. The garlic bed is looking good!
And we are down to just a handful of bulbs from last season. Timely!

 

They are destructive AF

And THEN there are these rascals!

Spying on them from afar and saw Momma and three youngins on the front lawn…argh!
Been trying to get rid of these groundhogs, but they seem to love my property.
Rascals sneaking into the fenced backyard and going to town, lol.

 

.22 rule works for me.

Hot as hell here the last few days. Have had to water and no real rain in sight. 30% chance early tomorrow morn. Hope.

 

How big do cucumbers have to be, to be good eating?? I'm getting impatient and they are only about 2" long right now
