Panthers getting EMD to go 0/3 on the PP is insane. Hopefully they can keep that up. EDM has been historic on their PP, so shutting that down would be huge

I'm not able to watch the Finals because it's on abc/ESPN...all these streaming services are too expensive to keep up with.

Looks like both games have been easily won by the Panthers.

Oilers need to win both games at home...and somehow muster aggressiveness to win in Florida.

Imagine if they won 4 in a row?

That or at least make it go 7 games?

Most likely wouldn't happen but that's the predicament they're in if they want to bring the Cup back to Canada.

 

The Oilers far FAR exceeded my expectations this season. That fact that they're even playing right now - especially considering the group they have - is truly a miracle!!

The only thing I'm VERY salty about.. is it's looking like Matthew Tkturtle is going to get a Cup.. and that burns more than a '2 dollar' hooker..

 

I bet OEL is ok with the Canucks buying him out right about now

 

I still am shocked that Edmonton got passed Dallas, honestly. Dallas got those 2 early goals in gm 4 and seemed like Skinner was cooked and they had total control of the Series. Then from 2nd pd of that game, they were never the same. And I just dont know what Edmonton was doing to keep them from scoring and to take that series. But I guess my point is maybe Edmonton will find something again, in this series, like that. I'm not actively rooting for them, but it would be cool to have a close back and forth series.

Canucks would have at least managed a win in the Final , Oilers look like they are ok with getting swept at home

Yeah, what I said in my previous post is not even close!

Didn't think it would be a possible sweep...I've always wondered why teams get to pinnacle and then fizzle out.

It's a long season for both teams...one just has more energy at the end.

 

Panthers are just so well rounded, plus they have Bob. It’s been fun watching them steamroll the competition even though it was my lightning in the first round

 

In the Oilers case: Skinner sucks and is carried by a strong Offense. Panthers have shut down the Oilers and exposed how shitty Skinner is. It has been known for years the Oilers Defense and Goalie situation sucks. Their entire existence is predicated on a strong PP(which the Panthers have shut down) and McDavid and Draisaitl(which the Panthers have shut down). The Panthers have been the only team to shut down the Oilers PP which is huge!

In the Panthers case: Bob is playing out of his freaking mind! Barkov is one of the best defensive Centers in the game(McDavid is one of the worst), Panthers have depth. Rodriguez has scored how many goals this series? Panthers can let the Oilers out shoot them because Bob is stopping all those shots and Skinner sucks.

 

Oilers aren't playing well...but somehow, they got past the Stars to advance.

Heck, the beat the Kings in first round & Canucks in the second.

Panthers defeated the Lightning & Brewers before knocking out the Rangers in the East Finals.

It's a game of immense passion once they get on a winning streak.

I remember how much the Kings wanted a Cup in 2012...and they took the hard way to get there being the #8 seed!

There's some drama with Matthew Tkachuk returning to Alberta.

Will the Oilers take G4 like the Mavericks did from Celtics?

How bad do the Oilers not want to get swept?

TBF they won most of their series' on the PP. Even during the regular season their 5 on 5 isn't super all star good for who they have, but they have absolutely dominated on the PP. The Panthers have absolutely shut that down this series.

I would wager it won't be a sweep and the Oilers will get one tonight. I hope they get swept because F the Oilers.
