You start packing?

 

Some packing has happened, but since I don’t have to sell my current place right away we can move in after we get stuff done at the new place first.

 

That is so nice and convenient!

We were able to move that way once ……. Was so awesome! We moved 13 times in 16 years. We built and sold our homes every 2 years, 1 home we did a year later ⬅️ that was me that time!! We always gave 30 day possession so I had to find a rental for 5 people and a 130 pound Dobie with a 6 month lease, pack up the entire house, garage, basement, move into rental, build our new house, then move into new house…… good times!!! (Actually was a good time, alot of great memories and I loved doing construction and we built as a family❤️ just us, no help from anyone else except for foundation and trusses) I learned to live with the bare minimum while we were building and left everything packed up in the rental. Then when I would move into my new house, I left a lot of things packed up in the basement or in the closets or in the garage. Here is some evidence of that lol



Guess I never got too comfortable or trusted we wouldn’t do it again so some things are still packed.
I won’t leave this house for a very long time.

Wow! I have moved a lot growing up, but I’ve been in my current home for 22.5 years. So I’m glad I don’t have to move all at once. I’m hoping to be able to get rid of stuff that we have not used or don’t need.

 

Good Lord…I bought our first house about 8 months or so before we got Married..we had all 3 kids over the next couple years.So the schools weren’t that good and we decided to move to where we are now…
To make a long story short….I hope I NEVER have to do that again…EVER

I missed you quietly today. So quietly that no one noticed.

I missed you as I climbed out of bed and as I brushed my teeth; when I waited at the lights on the drive into work and as I heard the rain outside my window.

I missed you as I ordered lunch and as I kicked off my shoes when I got home; as I switched off the lights and climbed into bed for the night.

I missed you without tears or noise or fanfare.
But oh how I felt it.

I felt it in the morning, at lunchtime, in the evening and at night. I felt it as I woke, as I waited, as I worked. I felt it at home, on the road, in the light, in the dark, in the rain.

I felt it in every one of those moments, each one sitting heavier and heavier as the weight of me missing you kept growing and growing.

Yes, I missed you so quietly today.

But I felt it so loudly.
