Hello I recently installed a roof rack, and yesterday when washing my truck I noticed the headliner right by the airbag piller had gotten slightly wet just a small circle. I pulled down my weather stripping and slowly poured some water on the rack by the mounts. I noticed a slow drip coming from inbetween these two little pieces that the weather stripping grips onto. Ive applied some silicone over the screws and am waiting to see if that solves it. Any suggestions if this fails or anyone know if the leak is coming from somewhere else?

You need to pull the screw out and put silicone In the hole and reinstall the screw

Hope that takes care of the issue, Ethan.

I don't think I could bring myself to drill holes in the roof no matter how much I wanted a rack or whatever up there.... My brain just wouldn't let my hands do it...

If you got that adhesive, put a dab in the hole & on the screw head.

BTW, the adhesive is available at Home Depot. I've used it to install windshields.

    Works good.

Tacomas comes with pre threaded holes in the roof.

It’s not great, but if it’s sealed it shouldn’t be an issue. Was there not seals with the roof rack?

Unless you have an access cab (looks like you do) they are under the black rubber roof trim strips sealed by painted over foam tape. If you remove the rubber trim it’s obvious where they are at.
