Got my pot farm set up today.... now to hope the sun doesn't do it in......

Those are canna lilies and elephant ears. They were transplanted a few weeks ago and living in a "nursery" until they showed some new growth. Now to hope they survive the sun / heat

 

I have to admit when comes to home cooking, you sure know how to enjoy life.

Good morning and a Happy Father's Day to all of us fathers. Not much planned for today and I still need to decide on what to have for dinner. Off to the gym in a few and then on to the farmers market for some inspiration on what to have tonight.

 

Cooler day for Father’s Day at only 89. Mostly sunny, so a good morning to spend outside.
Daughter plans to visit at noon if she feels good enough to drive. Hope so.

Later today my wife's delish tuna/mac salad and some north Florida smoked sausage. Staying inside and keeping cool.

Failed to keep a start run capacitor on hand for my AC system - and last nite (outdoor temp 102ºF at 7 pm) - I got to pay for the part and service. If you know how to safely do this - a serviceable part can be had for $20 or less. If you don't know how - don't attempt wihout adult supervision (who has electrical know-how). Something like 90% of the time this is the immediate, simple fix to a dead condensor fan and compressor.

Stupid move for me not to replace my spare when I used the last one. Regional temps here seem to be running at least 5º-6º over the usual and the AC equipment is getting stressed. Older southwestern homes usually don't have insulation against the heat load.

 

I’m 70 and I have a kid truck. And I love it.
