Havent been impressed with Budbuilts offerings on Tacos and 4runners. Heavy, yes.... Clunky. Not the greatest quality. But to each their own. One of my favorite wheeling buddies actually works for them lol. Solid dude.

    Highly recommend the exhaust reroute.

It was raining pretty good earlier so I took a 20 mile interstate ride, came home and wiped it dry with spray wax.
    Washed! :cool::thumbsup:

That looks better than my engine compartment has since it was like a week old. I may have to try this.

Edit: plus, it is a practical use for tire foam, which I generally consider completely useless.

    I love that stuff.
Get the natural finish so it isn't all glossy. It's good for pulling the dirt out.
I spray it all up in there..(wheel wells)

Edit: Always have a can of that next to my other aerosol essentials.
Brake Kleen, PB Blaster, Flat Bk paint and an 11oz bottle of MAF cleaner, because apparently it doesn't fit in smaller containers? :notsure:

Maybe it's tire shine that I'm thinking of. I think I'm going to get some foam to try in the engine bay. Maybe I'll try it on the tires and it will change my mind.

Any particular brand you like? I think I'm headed to Fleet Farm in a little bit.

I’m surprised that they don’t make the 4runner skids for the tacoma. Total pain in the ass for maintainance/wrenching, but boy does it make things worry free. Strong, like bull!

However, there’s something I’ve noticed about good flat skidplate coverage. It’s seems like it’s easier to get high centered. There are no nooks and crannies for rocks to slip past and let tires stay on the ground. I’ve noticed if a solitary rock picks you up anywhere near the center, your tires get picked up, and it’s over.

This is where we usually meet up. The Beer Garden is a short walk from there, and there's usually more parking in this lot.

For the engine bay, Armor-All is the least expensive tire foam I have found.

If you've never cleaned your engine, you're gonna need to do some (a lot of ) scrubbing. I had to scrub the 1st time. Now it's just hose it off and spray on the tire shine. I do it when it needs it.

I'm definitely in! Should be out of work by 4:00pm

Edit: Either date works for me. The wife is off Tuesday but it'll just be me. Not sure about her schedule the 25th but then it'll just be me and the kiddo if she works.

I work out of the Lake Country area, so might be a no-go for me.

But, I'll offer alternatives near Tosa in the future, for those who are interested.

Also, would be down for a vendor/dealer/cars and coffee meet up, if anyone finds one that's interesting!

Maybe we can do one at Raised Grain, or out here in lake country sometime.

I'll check out some dealership websites and see if any events are listed

Hi Dan! Still kicking this side of the dirt so all is well. Hope you are too, been way too long!

Still working plan is to go until 70. Mayo treats me well and pays me even better so hard to let go. Friend and coworker is retired Navy also and his plan is 70 as well. He is 69 so will punch out in a year it's going to be hard without him around so I may call 68 close enough. As long as they don't piss me off and pay me I'll keep at it. For now.

Yeah Coco must be getting up there same as Nova. Glad Coco is still at it! Nova has had a couple breedings over the last year one over by you another in Duluth. Lady contacted me couple weeks ago about a breeding next Spring in Green Bay with one of her girls. The old man gets more action then I do LOL. His son is 3 now and a handful so yes they keep me busy. But he is the best hunter I've ever had. In addition to 3 weeks at the cabin on the Gunflint Trail in Oct. started hunting Northwest Ontario last year with the Admiral and Captain. Leave in 90 days for this years hunt and already looking forward to it

And yes to Wyalusing if you will be there! I'll cross over to Stockholm and grab a pie on the way down the River, just let me know what flavor you want.

Pretty sure I know where Wyalusing got its name from. Wyalusing Pa. along the Susquehanna River, view from the Rocks

Hopefully it is not a show stopper but I sold the 13 Baja couple of months ago. Last Nov. picked up a 19 Lexus GX460 with 40K on it that I've been building out as a dog hauler\bird hunting rig. First step was a fine tooth sawzall to cut low hanging plastic. Only the first cut hurts on what was once a $70K vehicle LOL

Wyalusing is only a couple hours downriver from me. And look forward to seeing you!

Heavy because hell for stout LOL. RCI and the others drill a couple holes on 4Runner engine skids and call it a day for the GX. But a GX is not a 4Runner it is a Land Cruiser Prado 150. Then there is the fact that it is a V8 engine oil filter and drain is not in the same location as a 4Runner. BudBuilt is the only one that actually designed the engine skid for the GX with an oil filter access plate that lines up and is usable. They put some work into it, unlike the others.

Didn't know that about the GX skids (I've never worked on one with armor lol).

But hey, that's good enough reason to use them in your application. Rock on :headbang:

What area are you thinking about?
Were you the one talking about hitting up the sand dunes?
Those are on Lake MI, north shore?

I'm interested in exploring the U.P. more. Not sure how I feel about sand.
