Are there any 4 seat center mount 4 link Prerunners or race trucks that have good geometry and body language in corners

or do they all become boats in order to fit the 4th seat?

assuming using a 4 door cab
And the question on the table atm is
    Build 4 seat
    Or 3 seat
And I haven’t had enough seat time to be like
    Okay
4th seat fits without causing competition with driving characteristics
    Or
    Nah,
    4th seat =boat

    so
Can I get some senior staff input/ opinion?

would you sit in the hypothetical 4th seat?

    Edit:
    Full tube chassis
    No frame rail
    Just a cab

I’m on the 3 seater band wagon all day every day. The other two occupants will just be staring at the back of your seat otherwise.

Not to mention, by the time you factor shocks being in the cab. There won’t be much room for a 4th seat. As far as handling characteristics. I wouldn’t even look at that. That’s all on suspension setup/tuning.

I agree with all of that
    Except that last part
80% of builds I see with 4 seats
Put shocks outside cab and that changes geometry if not stretching length
When ideal is like you said, in the cab
but Yeah, I’ve been leaning 3 seat for a while but I’m being pushed the direction of 4 seats and I’m just thinking I’d rather have the most ultra comfortable 3 seater

Realistically you’re going to make sacrifices for a 4th seat no matter what you do. It’s still possible to have 4 with shocks in the cab with a big old school cab. Newer smaller cabs will be much harder. If I were dropping coin to build an all out truck, seating capacity would be my last thought.

It’s gotta be your first thought
Cause you can’t change your mind afterwords
And the goal of this truck is taking veterans off-roading and ideally racing,
The daily will be capable of most basic off-roading
But this chassis is the full kill vroom vroom
So I think I’m still team 3 seat
Just wanted to hear more opinions

Get a big ass cab. Do your best to make 4 work, if it doesn’t it doesn’t. Seating is absolutely the last thing on the list if performance is the first.

Not pulling 4 with either of those and maintaining performance. So I think you know the #4 is axed!

I’m starting to become a sucker for the old school stuff myself. But a tube truck is bad ass no matter what.

I’d love to do an old cab
But finding one that doesn’t need it’s own budget just for body work is a pain from the hunting I’ve done
Whereas I can grab the Silverado cab for 1500 decently clean of dings

    But yeah
A 4 seat Vivian would be so dope

Yeah, the cost and ease of replacement is definitely a problem with an older cab. OBS f-150 might be a little easier to find and their cabs are pretty big. But so much of this stuff has been eaten up by other markets as well.

Chevy never had a good looking 4 door cab until newer model years. And I’m not sure what it is, but fords just feel all around bigger in the interior when comparing late model years.
