Good Monday morning, donut makers and those that have made their share of donuts!
This week starts a fun stretch for me. Two days at home (St. Pete), then 3 days in St. Louis for meetings at HQ. Saturday, I start a week vacation by staying home while the wife and girls go to Long Boat Key. I meet up with them on Tuesday...girls come back home and wife and I spend the rest of the week at the beach.
Then back to work the following Monday for 3 days followed by a 4 day Independence Day weekend up at the farm in north Florida.
    Yay!!! :bananadance::oldglory:

I hate it when I use the last replacement and forgot to order more. I used up my last LED puck light last week amd the replacements came on Friday. I still need to order a 2 pack of HVAC filters.

My home was built in 63 and I have the same problem.

Good morning. I did a shrimp boil for Father's Day and it came out really well. I use a turkey Kielbasa which was actually delicious. Going to take it easy today.

Ouch! Another 90+ day, then two relief days in the mid 70s!…NICE!
Hitting the kettlebells today before I start my internal purge tomorrow…LOL! I’m sure everyone wants to read that first thing in the morning!
    May everyone enjoy their day!

Were going to the low 70's here, Tom. We've had a strange spring so far lot's of rain. I was asked to replace a couple garage service doors in the home of the VP from the company I retired from. I was their service tech. Along with some trim and lock replacement. First day I get get there. The locks were wrote up wrong. ( employee's are not supposed to write their own tickets) the doors come in a week later. The garage has 2x4 walls, they come in for 2x6 walls. He wanted me jut to swap panels in the new frames when they arrive, 3 weeks later. I tear the first door out and find the frame is to tall for the door. Both are so they have to go back to be reworked. With his home now open I have no choice but to put one of the wide jambs in w.ith it sticking out of the house 2" so today I get to go back and finish up. But this was some of the crap I delt with before I retired from there. You can't make this shit up. I had a salesman from there ask if I wanted to bore a couple deadbolt in a project he had, doors installed. 155 in a collage dorm. We sold commercial and residential doors all over the US. The 10 years I was there. Would have had most people running out the door, 35 million dollar company. When they make mistakes they weren't small.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Well, managed to do nothing all weekend, so good for me - and back at it today. New smoker controller pissed me off yesterday doing the steak sear - new replacement controller missing several LEC digit segments, and apparently another switch is bad.

Well, that was a project that did not need to be that difficult.

I leave my door work to a professional. If there are problems the one going to the hardware store is him, not me. One thing I do not like about any door is the opening is never a perfect rectangle. There is always something off. Even if it is off by 1 degree it still makes the install a little harder.

I want to replace the door from the laundry room into the garage, but I already know the opening that the door frame attaches too needs to be beefed up on both sides and the top.

And there we go... spudge and roll!

    20240617_121101.jpg

Now, anyone know if that's a gasket between the mirror mount and door frame? I cannot find anything listed (under any creative name I could think of!), or is it just part of the mirror? I just don't want to take the panels off today to find out. Look at top of pic, and thanks.

 sixtys/wannabes/longtime lushes. We used to call Schlitz/Schmidts "Shits" because that's what they gave you. I drank mostly Rolling Rock back then. I cannot tell you how great it is to have so many honestly fabulous beers available these days. We live in a golden age of the golden brew.

In other news, our station wagon failed inspection due to subframe rust. I'll be contacting the local dealership to schedule a replacement. Hard to believe a car with less than 60K miles, apparently garage kept it's whole life besides, would have a problem like that. But here we are. Oh and there's another recall for the bolts holding the steering rack, apparently they fall out. So much for safety I guess!
