Toyota is not at this time with the Tacoma, everyone been getting high 6-9% even with tier 1 + credit. No need to incentivize now to sell them, unlike Tundra.

Wait a bit if these trucks really are not moving off the lots (as people are saying on here) Toyota will be offering some type of 2.9% deal or something.
Isn’t there an incentive on the Tundra currently?

That 9% interest rate and ridiculous price increase is such a turn off to many customers that could be interested in buying a new tacoma. These trucks used to be affordable to your average working man. I think sooner or later only the elites and journalists will be able to afford purchasing a new vehicle. I would also argue that every year the price of new vehicles goes up, how about an increase in the warranty coverage offered by these manufacturers. I think it’s time a standard powertrain warranty is up to at least 7 years 75k miles.

I can't say about the rest of the country, but in Idaho and Montana, they can't keep them on the lots. Youtube if full of clickbaiters.

I paid 39500 for a sr5 4x4 at 4.99 percent. I only owe 12k on my truck. For an sr5 nowadays your looking at 46k to keep the things my 3rd gen has. Dual zone climate control, power rear sliding window, auto shade rear view mirror with compass, I believe heated mirrors as well.

Let me tell you my NFCU story, I've been a member in good (if not ideal) standing for about 40 years, financed multiple cars and a house through them, never missed a payment. All of it has been paid off, most of it early. We also have an 830 credit score and don't have any payments on anything. I worked hard to have good credit and no bills at this point in my life.

I went to finance a used Rav4 recently, at the time NFCU's used car rate was advertised at 7%. Went through all the hoops and bought the car only to find out they're charging me 7.9%, the person I dealt with was unable to tell me why nor could their manager. I paid the car off 3 days later and told NFCU what I thought of their practices. It's the first time I didn't get the advertised rate in about 6 cars being financed.

They're no better then USAA these days, in the past few years both have had a big push to get more members and both have become the type of companies we switched from years ago for similar practices.
    Fuck NFCU.

I bought the truck 9-29-23. I still am holding onto my belief that due to price increase and interest rates being ridiculous and more and more complicated power trains and technology that it’s time for a 7 year 75k mile powertrain warranty and a 5 year 60k mile bumper to bumper warranty

Guy at work his son bought a new Ranger over the weekend, he said they offered him 6%, he also got a V6 and an additional turbo.

I doubt if Toyota was on his radar, paying a higher interest rate for something I don't currently needs makes no sense.

I’ll be honest I’d love to pick up the new 4 but I just swallow the interest rate not to mention the risk of a new model year complete redesign .

This has been my hesitation. I can afford it but high rates, dont want to rob the $16k from savings, new model bugs and seeing what prior gen tundra values did, I may wait a bit.

Check the other forum daily seems to be something everyday.

Agreed has nothing to do with affording it I could do it no sweat but signing the papers at 9 percent feels like I’m being made a fool

    Ranger Raptor, sorry TW
I'm at 6.17 on my truck, Ford rates didn't even compete with banks/CU's. I also threw a chunk down so wasn't financing a whole ton. Of course tons of other factors will kick in to determine rate but current market I'm not super mad with it. Also surprising that the insurance rate on the Ranger is a tad less than the old Tacoma. I did an apples to apples on the 2024 TRD OR Premium and insurance was $200 more every 6 months than the Ranger.

That's because Ford dealer lots are flooded with them.

I agree with all of the above.

Who would pay the ridiculous increase for a 2024 and high interest rate to boot for a truck that sounds like a tractor?
