Is this why the led in the rigid assemblies only occupies around 1/2 of the housing space?

Yep. Lifting an inch is a big deal for Toyota as an OEM.

How's the overall ride quality with this kit and how well would it handle medium load? (Skids, bumpers, winch, bed rack, tonneau, recovery tools)
Also rear lift block, why, ewwwwe.

The dealer kept my old shocks and grill so I went back today and picked them up. I don't need them but it just didn't sit right with me just giving them to the dealer. Probably not a smart move and just more junk for my garage.

Could probably make $150-200 back selling them.

(mine are sitting in the corner of my garage as a spider habitat)

I sold my old shocks for $150 and my cheese grater grill for $100 - probably could have got more if I waited it out but didn't want it sitting around in my garage.

Yeah - you can probably get a lot more than I did if you are patient - ask $300 for the shocks and $150 minimum for the stock grill.

I sold the shocks within days ($250 metric) but have had zero interest in the grilles from my 2018 and 2022 Off-Roads.

I swapped out my 2020 Tacoma grill and just gave it to the dealer when I traded it.

I sold my 2022 TRD OR cheese grater to a guy who had just bought a 2WD 2023 SR5 - had I not already installed my x-trek grill I would have swapped him even up - I would have just plastidipped the chrome bezel on the SR5 grill. But, I surprised at zero interest - I got low balled a lot until I finally just got tired of the constant messaging and haggling.

I just picked up my 2019 AC. A year ago I had put on 265/75/16s. I always thought it needed a lift. I really like the stance. The Toyota grill is cool, too!

Appreciate the info, looking to do mine as well but I'm getting $3k plus in my area. Looks nice.

I'm new to the scene, can anyone explain why the kit comes with the Pro Grille and TSS parts? Assuming those parts aren't needed/you already have them, is there a way to get a kit with only the suspension parts?

Liability mostly. Moves the tss sensor down to accommodate for the added height. Not that those are necessary. Plenty people lifted to the same height with the same grill. You can order the shocks themselves but you’d need to find the part numbers for them. I don’t have them though or id give em to you

I've called two dealers in Dallas to do the OEM lift kit install and they both referred me to a third party. Pretty annoying and seems strange. I wonder if it's because I have a DCLB which Toyota says the kit won't fit even though I've seen folks here say that it's fine.

The OEM kit was never tested on a DCLB. Plenty of folks have done it and I'd not think twice about it if I had one. Just get 5100's, progressive AAL's and you'll have money left in the bank.
