Found $9 50’ harbor freight soaker hoses to be a good buy. Contemplating buying about $200 more of them.

I’ve got a similar one but it’s a shrub not a vine. Pretty hardy too livin’ up here. Yeah, hummingbirds perch up on it all the time.

We don’t eat them when they get as big as your leg. Went on a beach trip and didn’t get to pick for 5 days. Eating all we can and still giving bags away. Normally pick zucchini at about 10-12” and squash a tad smaller. Probably pick beans this eve or tomorrow.

It’s wild how much they can grow in 1-2 days!

Yessir. Got a 5 gallon bucket full this eve and more on the way. Same as okra, you miss a day and you end up tossing a bunch. And beans need a couple more days. I picked about 2.5 gallons that were big. Watered again. Still hot as heck here and dry.

Usually once a year I will stumble across an oddball Black Raspberry Primocane (this years growth) that actually produces berries, notice the green cane.

Everbearing raspberry plants can produce two crops of raspberries per year. The first crop grows on the primocanes in August or September, and may continue until first frost. The second crop grows on the floricanes in the summer.

That sounds awesome, kind of like a Prime Ark Freedom Blackberry. I also planted some kind of hybrid raspberry bush this year, think it is called Vanilla Raspberry, its growing quite slow so far.

    Too hot for raspberries here.

Blackberries are ripening up, picked them, blueberries and watered near the house for 2 hours.
Picked Cherokee tomatoea before birds got to them. Ripening in a box now, pasta sauce and salsa in a week
Need to make jams tomorrow and water chestnuts, apples, pears, lindens, and cypresses.
2 out of 8 beni-imos have good roots and vines, will be planted this weekend. Rest, by the looks of them, will be planted in pairs over the next 5-6 weeks. Not complaining, will be easier to harvest.

Potatoe plants died back, need to dig them up.
Need to build a potato root cellar this fall for potatoes and beni-imos.
Do not know what we'll do when kids grow up. They are a huge help. Trying to figure out how we van make it all lower maitenance.

Getting some odd shaped cucumbers. First 4 that were large enough to pick. Supposed to be national pickling variety. Have hundreds of female flowers but not many are getting pollinated. I try to hand pollinate daily. I was hoping to have enough to get a few jars of pickles.

If things go the way they have gone in the past, our four peach trees should result in over 300 pounds of fruit.

And last year we got NOTHING, Zip, Zilch, Nada!

Weather dependent rewards....much like snow skiing!

    Awesome!
Crosses fingers; like yourself, last year was a bust for my fruit trees as well…
So far so good, the apples and pears are laden with fruit this year; hope the weather cooperates!
