    Thank you!

I'm currently leaning towards 6112+5160 which I was given a quote of ~$4400 for which included UCA and labor. I'm reading pretty mixed reviews on the Billstein shocks for how they handle on road conditions such as potholes, neglected gravel roads and light to medium trails. Some say they are better then stock others say they ride very stiff and things like potholes are very jarring compared to how stiff stock already was.

Iron man stage2's foam cell pros I can get for a little under $3300 installed at an Iron Man shop. Reviews both on and off-road seem to be much more positive all around for this setup, many of the reviews speak to the complaints I have with the stock 4600s.
What I'm currently thinking of doing is going with the Iron Man suspension, which is a 2.5" lift, buying 265/75r16 (currently on 265/70r16) with the difference I would be saving versus getting the Billstein 6112/5160. I'm just trying to form a clear visual of how this would look before making a substantial monetary commitment that will alter the look and performance of the vehicle.

No experience with the Iron Man suspension. I like my 6112+5160+Icon RXT better than the stock TRD Sport suspension. I have stock UCAs. Ran some light/medium national park gravel roads and trails a couple weeks ago. A friend who was with me, who has a new Tundra (most expensive model available, I think), commented on how good the suspension felt. I haven't really done any "real" off-roading yet, so can't comment on rougher terrain. Most of my driving is city/highway.

Any issues with Daring or Wandering driving on the highway using stock UCA?

Nope, all seems solid to me. Have about 4,000 miles with this setup so far, including multiple long highway trips. Still haven't tried towing camper with it yet.

Forgot to mention, I also installed ECGS bushing and carrier bearing drop. Now I'm thinking I should join the party with new UCAs...

This is a smart move. Gonna be real hard to beat that setup for equal money. Make sure not to lift too much, get a good alignment and you should be very happy.

Here are a few quick pics of my truck with 6112+5160+Icon RXT (option #1). As mentioned before, tires are 275/70/17 Falken Wildpeak A/T4W on FN f(x) wheels. I didn't measure my stock height, but right now ground to fender is about 38.5" at all wheels. 6112s in front are set at notch 11 (driver side) and 9 (passenger side). From the RXT specs, my rear should have been a bit higher than the front, but I have ~200+lbs of tools, etc., in the back which probably dropped it a bit. Planning to go to option #2 with the RXT leaf packs soon (i.e., replacing 3rd leaf with stiffer leaf included from Icon). That should give me back a little rake and help keep level when towing camper (along with weight-distributing hitch and SumoSprings).

Thanks everyone! My immediate goal is going to be getting a 6112+5160, and maintaining factory height (maybe bring the front up .50 though).
I would address the immediate issues, suspension ride quality, clunking noises when going over bumps, etc now and maybe swap out the springs, leaf, add a UCA and get larger wheels and tires next year after taxes =

I've been going through the whole "mods" thing for the last year. Made a few non-optimal purchases along the way in an effort to "get something better later" (front bull bar, Sprint throttle booster) and things that had shortcomings (WeatherTech bed liner). Also, initially didn't plan to do a lift right away and just go with largest tires that fit stock suspension (which I would have regretted and wasted money on). In general, for me, I've found the advice and consensus on this forum related to upgrades to be accurate. Of course, your needs and personality may be different than mine but sounds similar.

I guess what I'm saying is that you will quickly be ready for the "next step" (larger wheels/tires, etc.), so make sure your upgrades now are optimal for your future plans. You are doing it right with the planned 6112+5160 suspension upgrades that will directly allow adjustment when you get bigger tires. But... you will have to go back in and raise settings on 6112s and leaf springs when you up-size tires (pain-in-the-ass) or pay to have it done. Maybe consider setting them higher now, in anticipation of larger tires? I wish I had taken the forum advice and set my Icon RXT leaf packs at option #2 initially, now I have to pull them and make the change (since carrying a bit of weight in the bed).

I have the Ironman Foam Cell Pro and while it’s a great lift, I’ve been considering upgrading to Dobinsons MRR kit. You can adjust the FCP to whatever height you want. You’d probably need the 2.5 springs though.

Maybe check out that one as well. Lots of different spring options and they have 3 different adjustments you can make yourself. Low and high speed compression and rebound adjustments.

@Crikeymike can get you a quote on that kit. Not sure about getting them installed though. Only offering this since you asked about recommendations.

Here’s two of mine, one with 255/85/16s and one stock OR tires, both with about 1.5/2” of lift

I was getting that impression based on photos I've found. 265/75/16 would be okay-ish but id probably want to move up to 285s which is want to do a whole plethora of other changes.
    - 17" wheels + new tires (16" 285s are usually LT and would ride like a dump truck)
    - CMC or moderate trimming.
    - regear
    - needle bearing delete (plan to do this eventually anyway)

I'll probably eventually get there but I have other mods higher on my priority list.

I have had 6112/5160’s with Icon RXT leaf pack stage 2 on my truck for roughly a year or so. Definitely stiffer than the stock off road suspension but I like it. Feels more planted at speed and handles well off road. The only thing I’d change if I had to do it over would be I wouldn’t have maxed out the front shocks at 11/9 clip setting. Wish I would have went 9/7. 11/9 rides well but 9/7 would probably be better on and off road.

Then I suggest sticking to little to no lift until your ready. But really to run a 285 on your wheel it's not as bad as your thinking. I ran and wheeled 285's with a 2" lift good alignment no cmc no re gear for a year till I bumped my offset and went to 295's then I just did the cmc and iv pushed my offset even further since then and I still have no real issues regarding the re gear and I tow somewhat regularly.

Spent a week on the road with the boat and the box full of gear still never really felt under powered and still managed 18L /100km over 1200km. Just saying it's not 100% necessary

This isn't really true unless he's gonna go up to a 35" or some really low offset wheels. Lift does not create clearance or alleviate rubbing. All it does is move where the rubbing happens. If you rub at stock height then lift it an inch to try and get rid of the rubbing you're now going to have rubbing every time your suspension compresses 1".

This video should be a required watch for anyone modifying their Toyota IFS: https://youtu.be/l1tTelhdEiM?si=i52ImcfsPgFpnDNI&t=68

But you're totally right about the addicting nature and usually wanting to go with more. I went thru 3-4 different suspension setups over the first couple of years of owning my truck. It's kind of a catch 22. You can start small then spend time/money doing it again or you can pay the big bucks to do it once but realize you may still overshoot your goals or end up with something you don't need. I mean, look at all the yahoo's around here running $10-15k suspension/wheel/tire setups that never see dirt.

What I think I really need to do is focus on making my Tacoma comfortable and convenient for trips and overlanding. While yea, I could go with huge tires, high lift, etc It'd be more effective to spend $3-4k on a clapped out used 4runner or Cherokee that I can abuse at the local 4x4 park, not having to worry about wrecking my primary vehicle.
