I’m not sure how difficult this will be for some folks, but around me they are just about everywhere. Road sign informational or historical sign:

    IMG_0666.jpg

There were two other bikes right in front of it, riders from Winnipeg Canada that rode across Canada to BC and then were going to turn north but all the passes over here are still snowed in so they went south instead into WA. Tomorrow they were going to go across idaho into montana.

Behind the bike you can see snippets of the old spiral highway, pretty fun stretch of road.

And here is my bike slightly further down the barricade.

Wait a minute... I thought your bike had to be in the pic. Isn't that the rule? o_O

Hence the second pic, with the same guard rail, just 20 feet down ;) Didn't want to pull up too close to the other riders that were there first.

I have another one from today, but I think it'd be much harder.

Just enough to look kinda cool.
I’m here in Idaho as well (Boise) so I know of a few of them signs they are all just a bit of a ride to them. Not sure how prevalent they are elsewhere maybe Montana has some but I think they are Idaho mostly.

Washington has some, Montana has some, Oregon has some. I'm guessing most states have some version of them. And yeah, the hope was it made someone go on a bit of a ride to get to one, not just down the street two seconds kind of thing. If it doesn't get snagged by the end of next weekend I'll update it to an easier one.

A little nostalgia for me seeing those pics, I grew up in Sandpoint before moving to Colorado.

Did this after work. Would have been nice to ride but had to take stuff in. Put about 150 miles on getting these. Went to an old military trail but it had no official marker. So I rode on. Very windy and got dragged across the lane randomly which was a good test of skills. Been a while. Just like riding a bike here in KS lol.

 Ha I’m not from here originally. Moved coast to coast many years. My biggest regret living in SC and not making my way to dragons tail to ride. East vs West vs Midwest riding are all very different. The wind here was a lot to get use to.
