Don't you already have Icons or Fox? You keep buying coilovers every other month.

Hell you even had a set or two rebuilt.

I run one on my flatbed with those poly trail gear mounts. Poly cab mounts too. I’d never do it on something being daily driven.

Anyone familiar with garage doors? I've never had issues with mine in the past but I think the door motor might be dead
It won't even retract when the door is disconnected but the door still opens and closes with easy by hand so that makes me suspect the motor that drives the chain

Does the light on the opener still work? Any noises when you try to run it?

Well it's been an eventful evening...our ceiling starting leaking water pretty severely all of the sudden through a lighting fixture in the dining room, and it hasn't rained here in a month.

Went up in the attic and couldn't find any trace of water except that the HVAC unit (right near the leaking area) has a tray attached to the bottom full of nasty fucking water in it right up to the brim and I'm guessing that ain't normal

Probably for the condensation and by the looks of it, wherever it's supposed to drain has been backed up for a long time.

@Sperrunner wanna make a late night house call 600 miles away :boink:

Lights work. They will flash when it stops.

It's always seemed a little louder than it should be.

That sucks. Do you have a swamp smell coming from it?
I wonder if whatever was in the ceiling last week was surviving off that water.

My mini-split has a small lift pump to evacuate condensation. It plugged last year and caused water to back up into my dining room. Those things can produce a surprising amount of condensation. Once I found the blockage it was easy enough to flush out. Unfortunately I had already bought a rather spendy replacement pump that I no longer needed but was unable to return.

If you've got a similar set up, it's good to clean the heat exchanger regularly as preventative maintenance.

Okay, just checking the obvious first troubleshooting step of "does it have power?" My opener is on a GFCI circuit that trips occasionally for no apparent reason. That's always fun to come home to.

About the noise, what I meant was: Does it sound like it's trying to open the door? Like the motor is trying to turn but jammed? Or is it totally silent now? Or maybe a quiet hum but no motion?

Disclaimer: I don't have any special expertise in garage doors, I just like troubleshooting. There's probably someone else here who knows more about this than I do.

Isn't the water that comes off of it really toxic? I'd expect whatever drank from that water would perish soon after :bananadead:
