We got a break from NY he temps yesterday with some rain. The resulting humidity was brutal. Forecast is back to the 90’s for 4 days. Yay.

I have no idea what happened there.

In Tacoma news: I think I may be hearing/feeling a little hum/vibe that suggests front wheel bearings have served their time. To the wrenchers: describe the telltale signs and how bad is the job. My truck is well on the light side as far as corrosion is concerned.

Is there a simple test to confirm my suspiscion?

Can't complain. My Lucille has done 160k absolutely trouble free miles. A bearing wearing is small price to pay.

Just do the “pinky test”. If it’s bad enough you will know it.

 

I'm imagining the "pinky test" is getting the bearing exposed and moving the race with my pinky...resistance = replacement?
