I've long said it's not what happens, it's how it is handled. Yes my Toyota shouldn't have needed a frame but they honoured the program and did their job. GM did not when my Colorado engine puked and cheated me 6 ways to Sunday, so I won't be buying another one from them.

Same re my 2010, at 141K and they don't make a regular cab Tacoma now so I'd have to buy something I don't really want.

See above re my Colorado engine

This. Nuff said. If you can't honour your own written warranties and tell me as the customer it's tough shit, but hey come back and buy another vehicle from us....not gonna happen

I had a new '16 colorado 4x4 provided as a work truck, it never saw the inside of a dealer the entire time I had it, new~120K. The GM V6 blew away toyotas miles per gallon and HP, wasn't even close despite the Colorado having a topper and 400# of gear in the bed all the time. I had zero complaints about the chevy and would have bought it from the lease company except dealers couldn't get enough of them at the time and were paying a premium for ones at auction. Allot has changed since then but I don't agree with the rest that the chevys and GMs are crap.

Some of us don’t have that history. The new trucks they have look really good.

Wife getting the new Lexus? You should just go for the new GMC. You like it, wife likes her choice, you'll both be happy!

I really liked the motor in the 17 canyon I test drove before I bought my Taco. I was trading in a 6 liter V8 and I felt like that little V6 was not giving up much to the V8. I really liked it, but the Taco was cheaper, so here I am.

I liked my 06 more often than not, though little things on it seemed to break often. Tell me needing a whole new top end is normal and that it's okay for the dealers and main office to lie and refuse to honour their 2 written warranties though.

It’s a safety feature to alert oncoming traffic after your truck randomly spins out at night.

Out of all the OEM rocker options I have seen, the GMC version on the Canyon are one I like as an actual rocker-slider. Protective of the side and lower deck, without the mud gathering "get your cuffs dirty" protruding stepped versions. How do manufacturers, including Toyota, think a midsize truck, without any significant lift off the lot, needs a single OEM option that includes steps. Is there an OEM option with no step, similar to the GMC for the Tacoma?

This information will be helpful when I start discussing the topic with a local Toyota dealer for a 2025 Tacoma. I would hope that a dealer would be able to remove the allocated stepped version and replace it with one of these different OEM versions, especially as the TH is released into the wild. Thanks!

We may never drive our Tacoma again (I'm only partly kidding).

I’ve said this before, that is probably the cleanest looking of the current generation midsize trucks on sale.

A few years ago I wouldn't taken any GM product for free, but they really knocked this one out of the park.

Yeah, I think they did a great job style-wise.

Even the base model work truck Colorados I see around here look good.

To the OP: My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw a _________(insert ANY non-Tacoma truck here) break down, overheat, leak oil, crack the frame, and catch fire at 31 Flavors last night. I guess you should ONLY buy a Tacoma; it's pretty serious.
