i went out and bought some 4runner pro wheels. after some part number googling apparently this specific wheel has an issue with fitting the tacoma :notsure:

some remedies seem to be grinding the hub down a bit, installing spacers, or machining the wheel. i’d like to not mess with truck itself so i’m looking at options 2 and 3. any recommendations for where i could get them machined in nova?

Is this a Japanese version of a 60 series or something else altogether? Pretty nice looking.

It’s a JDM 70 series. There are so many more on Okinawa now than when I lived over there. Jealous.

Edited to add that with the Yen being so weak right now, I should probably look into importing one. Not sure I want to deal with RHD in the States though.

It would take some getting used to but I think it would be worth it for a one of a kind vehicle like that.

Flirting with the idea of selling my Bestop Supertop for a short bed. Curious if anyone local is interested before I list elsewhere.

Anyone connected with the Caliber Collision in Fredericksburg (on Lafayette) had an incident today and going to work through insurance to get some repairs taken care of...

On a side note anyone know where I can repair my pride?

Ill be in my Gladiator... No set date on when to ride yet. Driving up to VA Monday and returning to SC on Sat.

In no way do I expect it to be some grand trail. But my Uncle in law and his son have never done any sort of trail riding. And it's a Jeep badge of honor trail so it's something I wanna do since I'll be close.

It's not Union Springs, but it has changed a lot since Covid. A lot of the softer sandier parts are gone and the forest service re-routed part of it away from that mud hole at the north end, probably letting the trail recover a bit.

There's a blue RHD on FB for sale, restored. He wants north of $60k. Too rich for me.

@PyritePirateBill hoping the team at Fredericksburg Caliber can get the Taco back to her former glory. Made it 5 years with no significant events since the deer 5 days after I bought it that landed me a replacement bumper from @chiefcrunchy

Unfortunately this one was a stupid mistake that could have been way worse and none got hurt so I'll pay the deductible and move along.

Recommend confirming you are no longer in gear before stepping out of the truck to kill the tick crawling up your leg especially if on a hill.

Wifey picked up a nail this afternoon in the truck. totally forgot about it till later this evening going to get ice cream. drove the heep instead and plugged the tire after cause I could. Yeah, I could have just thrown the spare on.... but where is the fun in that.
