It's why I never judge people for not having kids, it's a huge ass undertaking (love this kid to death) but man I look at some people I know and I'm like "I hope they never have kids"

My sister for example...I hope she never does

 

My default is to hope people don't have kids, we have no shortage of them needing proper care already. The worst are the morons that think having a kid will fix their failing relationship or give them "purpose". Turns the kid into an object rather than acknowledging them as a person.

 

Hell, tons of shows (and movies) have succeeded around the drama that shit creates

See Japan though? They've been in a decline for awhile now that you can actually get a VISA to head out there and stay...to help their population

 

Jokes on them, I'd only increase their population by 1. Their birth rates declining is an interesting one actually, it's not for lack of financial stability. They've instead built a work culture so outwardly hostile that people just hustle until they die because that's the honorable thing to do. Kids would just muddy that up... Until everything has to shut down because of attrition.

 

All the wrong reasons to have kids.
Most fucked up kids come frome fucked up parents who are definitely not read to have kids. It's a huge undertaking and I don't understand how people do it if they are not ready.

 

No shit, I don't even wanna look up the suicide rate there...

 

Their visa still has pretty stringint employment requirements

Very nearly moved there as covid was winding down, but there were too many complications bring our dog.

People look at me like I am bat shit crazy - then I look at their lives and realize they are the bat shit crazy ones!!

Parents are a cult - they want you to have kids so you can join in their misery party
My boss just had kid #2 [kid #1 is like 2] - he looks like he got 'shock n awe' like almost all day/every day now..

Because 1/2 of all states do not teach medically accurate sex ed
Keep your knees together and pray to jeebus is not an effective strategy
Also, lack of access to birth control . . . . even if you do know what it is/how to use it, ya can't get your hands on it
So once you are knocked up, you're stuck - most try to make the best of it and act like the relationship that spawned it will last [it won't] and everything will be okay [it won't] and two years later you are a single parent with a crackhead ex..

 

Keumper was great with the Avs when they won the cup a couple years ago but seems to have floundered in DC. But he might just be part of a bigger trade with another team, we'll have to see
