Apparently you don't have the high pressure motor and hose that he has.

    Good day all.

Last few days have been pretty brutal here with temp & humidity. And, just because not having a job isn't enough.... both the A/C units on our house decided now is he time to crap out. Not sure what the issue is, both systems blow air, but it's ambient temperature, not cold. The house was built in 2006, and I'm certain these HVAC units are of the same era, so I am hoping they just need a coolant recharge. At least I was able to call the repair people right after someone had canceled their appt for today, so the Tech is supposed to come by around 2 - 3PM today. Don't have much choice in getting them fixed, as the house would never sell with both units not working (if things get that bad, that we have to sell the house).

    Stay cool, all!!

Happy June-teenf everyone. I'm taking a popsicle break the thermometer claims 85° , it feels like 4 inches from the surface of the sun.. Monday night I went out to the firewood truck engine to pull the distributor out, last night I needed the 15mm wrench that I used and it seems to have disappeared from the face of the known universe. After an hour of retracing my steps, I gave up and went went to Lowes for another one plus some other junk. I was trying like hell to have the replacement engine stuffed into the truck today, it isn't looking like it will happen. Its frustrating sometimes.

You Know what's funny- having been born and raised in the Mid-Atlantic, I never really knew how bad it was here until after I was stationed at Camp Pendleton and didn't come home for about 1 1/2 years. I came back in the dead of summer and it smacked me in the head.. I guess it just becomes your "normal" until you go somewhere else that is much more temperate.

I have looked into this, and the web site says that as of May 31, Veteran's do not apply directly for the program, your mortgage lender applies on your behalf. I called my lended today to discuss whatever hardship assistance programs they may offer, and I was told "You are currently in good standing, so I can't access the list of programs we may have to help you. You have to wait until you are in delinquent status" - which makes absolutely no freakin' sense to me, but I can't make them tell me what they are supposed to.

/Edited: I just rechecked that link above, and it does state here that this program is for Vets who are in a default state, so I don't qualify right this moment anyway. But if I don't find a jon quickly enough, and end up in default, i will make damn sure my lender is aware of this program and contacts the VA on my behalf.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Not giving this a "like". My thermometer says the same, though the weather service says mine's a couple of degrees optimistic. Either way, the last couple of years I just don't deal with this...it's inside projects this week.

I've always dreaded high humidity and the older I get it gets worse. Forty years ago I spent a summer in Miami, where my brother and his wife were living at the time, and I didn't enjoy the high humidity. I was 21. Now, I've told my wife we aren't retiring to the south, like many of our friends have. My a/c runs, electric bill be damned.

Your humidity indoors is high. I think anything over 60 is considered high. Do you need a de-humidifier? That might help with your comfort level.

It's a new house only 2.5 years old , the builder explained to me during the walkthru that this house is sealed very tight so very little to no air flow escapes

I always worry when the humidity level indoors is more than that outdoors. Maybe a de-humidifier would help to circulate the air? Or maybe leaving bathroom fans on? Too much moisture can lead to mold.
