I'm chasing short term gains in my tax free roth.
I set a $30 trailing stop today and it still hasn't triggered.... I thought for sure I would get flushed in the last 15 minutes on a sell off...

We've known this for years. We've even known the cycles pretty well +/- a month or so. Sometimes down to a week. Problem is, everything that we learn, the MMs adapt to. Why did homeboy go AFK for 3.5 years? He knew it better than we did, and he knew it early. He knew it down to a specific week. Once the rest of us figure that out, that opportunity is now gone. MM's will buy their FTDs early, swap them, or do god knows what else to make that gamma go away. Everything we learn and try to use, they can throw billions of dollars at to make it go away.

Not only did did dfv have it down to the week, he showed up with grand aplomb to make himself a billionaire right up until cohen cucked him with a 75m share offering on an options expiry date.


Yes, I'm still pissed off about it. The opportunity cost for me on GME is now in the hundreds of thousands, and I'm pretty irritated.

I spent years absorbing and learning everything about one particular stock, but was still too stupid to figure it out enough to capitalize on it like one person who understood it to a level the rest of the world never saw. Then, ok, the guy who understands it comes back, basically lays out the play through 6/21 options expiry and cohen says, "hey this would be a GREAT time to mitigate the entire DRS initiative and kill the gamma ramp."

It feels like I spent another 4 years in college and then some random asshole says, "lol nah"
