That rubbing doesn't surprise me due to the wide, low offset wheels.

Nope, haven't had any issues with mine. Rides like a dream at all speeds.

Picked up a set of these in 265 70r17 P rating. I cant compare them to the at3s but so far they are grippy and quiet for an a/t. They fit with the bilsteins set at 2.2" and stock mudflaps. I noticed mine also have the sidewall monoblock 20240508_220340.jpg 20240508_220057.jpg

Looks great! I'm torn between those and the Duratrac RT (the updated Duratrac).

I like the original DTs. I know some have their issue with them, but a lot of guys like them. They can get loud, but it is a relatively aggressive tire, and that's to be expected.

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
How does the noise on these compare to other tires, like the AT3W for instance? I ran the AT3W and had no problem with noise. Now I'm on a pair of Dick Cpeck mud tires and the noise is wearing on me at highway speeds. I'd assume the noise on these would be somewhere between the two.

I had a set of MT's between my AT3W's and AT4W's so it wasn't a direct, back to back comparison. But, my 255/85R16 AT4W's are very quiet. Seems on par with the AT3W's and much quieter than my G003's.

What type of gas mileage are y'all seeing with the 255/85 16 AT4's?

I'm currently running Wildpeak MT01 255/85r16 which weighs just under 60lbs per tire. I know the AT4s are about the same weight for the 255 size but would the less aggressive tread pattern on the ATs compared to the muds help with MPG even a teeny bit? I plan on switching to AT4s eventually but not for any mpg change, I just prefer the handling, wet condition traction, and less noise from an AT tire but I am curious about the mpg even if the answer is obvious.

I upsized to AT4s in 275/70/17 C-load when I added new suspension/lift. Tires seem fine to me (mix of city and highway driving) and did well during the mild off-road I tried. Of course a bit louder than my stock 265/65/17 Toyos, but I knew that going in. AT4s also seem to do well in the rain, with no hint of slipping, hydroplaning, etc. No experience in snow yet. The heavy weight of the tires is definitely noticeable but I have OTT tune (mild/medium) that seems to help, along with the other OTT benefits (better shifting, etc.).

Overall, I think I lost about 1.5 - 2 mpg with the tire upsize and mild lift (~1.75") with my normal driving style. I do tend to be heavy on the gas pedal and generally drive 75 - 80+ on the highway. Maintaining lower speeds would definitely help the mpg loss. No issues with balancing. When I had the tires put on my new wheels (FN f(x) Pro) at local Discount Tire, I talked to the tech and made sure he aligned the balancing marks on the tire with the wheel valve position.

I've got about 4,000 miles on them now, including a few longer highway trips, and would buy again. I do wish they were a bit lighter, but there were limited options for non E-rated tires in 275/70/17 that I liked. Didn't want to go E-rated due to stiffness/ride quality, and I don't need the extra off-road protection.

On a side note: does anyone know where a person might find Falken stickers?

This! I always thought the same thing whenever I see cars, trucks, and motorcycles with stickers like that. I get it, I guess, that guys like to "show off" what products, tires, engine mods, helmets, leathers, etc. they have, but to me, they just look tacky. Now if someone wants to pay me for putting a sticker on my truck or my motorcycle, I'm all for it. I'm not a fan of any kind of stickers on vehicles, aside from graphics. I've seen some trucks that have cool mountain and USA flag graphics on the sides of them that look cool. But bumper stickers, especially political ones, are a no-go for me.

265/75/16 AT4W SL. Got them three weeks ago and went on a 3k mile road trip with about 60 miles off-road. Happy so far.
