I'd try em, I don't drive this truck in winter... at least not on purpose. I'm a tire hoarder, I know I have to change these tires in a couple more seasons, that'll last into next year but between now and then I'll find some tires to stash away when there's a deal/sale.

Had Trail grapplers for my last set of 33's. Loved em. Heavy though. Id suggest em. They have a Load Range C 35X11.50R17 if you are wanting to step up to 17s too.

Same for the Trail Grapplers. Truck is only ever driven in the summer and the occasional snow wheeling.

I doubt I'll find Nittos at an acceptable price but I've heard good things about the graps before. 35x11.5 would be a great size for me, but I'm not sure I'm ready to pick new wheels just yet. I'm trying to build up the savings a bit with the new job and then get the long travel taken care of, at that point I may need to rethink backspacing and would change to 17s.

I gotcha. Man Discount Tire used to run a deal on eBay that was Spend $400, Get $100 Off. I think they caught on to people ordering 1-2 tires at a time and saving $200-$400 per set, including me haha. I believe thats non existent now. Nearly impossible to find any tires on sale now.

I usually check to see what's on closeout from Priority Tire. Like for example the tires I jut put on the BMW are usually ~$170 a piece for a 225/45/17. I got a full set of 4 with free shipping for $244 because they were on manufacturer closeout. I did the same thing with the ones on the Land Cruiser and it saved me about $350. I'll buy 5 tires for the Taco so I'll probably have to eat the cost of the 5th but that's not too bad. I don't worry about the closeout tires cause it usually means they're getting a new production run rather than it is being discontinued.

What do you not like about the KM3s? I ran an old set of Dan @drr's KM2s for a bit and they were too loud for my taste, but I know Mike @Digiratus ran KM2s for a while (and I think KMs before that), and I thought he liked them. So, even though I'm not planning to go to a MT, I always thought that KM3 would be on my list if I did.

Yeah prices just go up and up. I have 16s I use from Igor for snow tires and thinking of find some 17s. Will see.

    Thats painfully low miles haha
    Amazing haha such good influences.

I am not looking forward to buying new 35s for Frank when I do. Gonna suck. Also slim pickings on 15s now.

Damn I remember doing that too I think on a set or two of tires.

Tires have gotten super expensive for sure. Annoying.

I think most of us have run KM2s at one point. We all had them back in the day. They worked good but we killed so many with sidewall cuts I don't think I'd ever run a BFG tire again due to that.

I can't imagine you running any MT due to noise. That said the RT's you just bought I think are aggressive enough you won't desire more traction. They work really well and clean out like a MT.

Mainly the noise and balancing issues. Noise I can deal with though. They seem to slip a bit more than my trail grapplers did as well. But the balancing issues really keep me from wanting to drive the truck on highways etc. And it could just be the set I have as well. Snow wheeling, trail grapplers blew them out of the water. But to most people its not that important. I bought these tires used. They seem to be wearing very fast for how little i drive this truck and are chunking pretty good as well. But I am partial to Nitto. Plenty of people love the KM3's though!

I had to look, I thought I had trail grapplers, but they are the terra grapplers. The MT is $315ea, the AT is $236ea, damn.

Jesus the Yokies I had are $341ea... I was toying with putting them back in cuz they look good but not for that kinda of money. I guess I would have to go to the Patagonia

yeah MT have gotten pretty bad.

I'd honestly run the Kenda RT in a 35 though. It's been a great tire. Although on Frank with the LT and tire poke the rock throwing would be dangerous..

Reminds me I need to do a 5 tire rotation on the van, I guess we'll see if I get yelled at for doing it in the work parking lot...

Id suggest trying some Ridge Grapplers. But they are pricey too. The Yoki's have skyrocketed in the past couple years for sure. I wanted to run em but they are insanely priced now lol.

Very much. Too big, too tall. Honestly if it wasnt jacked way up oon 46" tires it would be much better. They wanted some shots to help sell the thing so i had fun.
