2024 Fuckery Thread

Nevada Jeep Club is planning on meeting in Minden at 8:30 to leave for the trail head at Hermit Valley Campground. It takes about an hour to drive from Minden to Hermit Valley, so I'm figuring they are looking at hitting the trail between 9:30, probably closer to 10:00.

Hermit Valley Campground is located at 38.53823, -119.89965
Deer Valley Trail runs from Hermit Valley Campground to Lower Blue Lake Dam

We are looking at continuing on past Lower Blue Lake and Upper Blue Lake, then up the hill to Lost Lakes (Tee Pee Icon) to camp.
Then rolling out Forestdale Divide road to 88 at Red Lake on Sunday.




Deer Valley is definitely not the hardest trail we've been on. But I can not stress enough, it's a legit trail. Sliders and skids are necessary items. 33s are just about required. Most of the trail is driving over rocks the size of basketballs and bigger. It will beat you all day long, going the direction we'll be going. There are only 3 moderate "obstacles" but the trail it's self is just goes and goes.

 

This one is our Club - High Sierra Krawlers.

There will be easy to moderate to as hard as you want to try on this trip. You don't have to do anything harder than what you want to try.

I should be able to there Saturday morning but I’m busy on Sunday so I won’t be able to stay the night. Will probably be more of a meet and greet vs going from red to coyote and heading back that same night.

A rig or two might tag along with me too but not 100% sure

Trail sounds like I may have to actually wheel, and not just point and shoot my 5-gun!

 

I soo want to do Deer Valley with @El Taco Diablo, @essjay, and @ssd_dan but 8/3 is my 28th wedding anniversary and wife recently had a bad experience with a poorly hung hammock and we don't think her coccyx can handle a day of driving over basketballs. Being the best wife ever, she says I can go without her, but I'm not sure I want to.

Lmao... That's not even a decision for me. Fuck that trail on an event weekend. If I wanted to go to a Wal Mart parking lot, there are Wal Mart parking lots a lot closer to me.

 

Not really there for the wheeling. I am there for the party.

Congratulations on 28 years! You know her better than her own family at this point so do the right thing!

 

I think it's a smart move to stick around. Just make sure the flowers are fresh and the restaurant is her favorite

Welp @Blue Canary

It looks like the mantel of fuckary has been completely bestowed upon us this weekend.

Looks like Brian, Dion, Charlie, Travis, Chris, Steve, Ray, Jeremy and Thomas (HSK) will be there.

My buddy Aaron will be there.

And @02hilux said he may day trip with some buddies up there.

We also have a group of Jeep XJs supposedly meeting us up there.

 

Found a good spot at Corral Hollow that accommodates up to 7 rigs.

 

I love wheeling with Jen. I want to get her a mic so you can add her trail commentary to the videos.

I humbly accept said mantel of fuckery. My Friday is still up in the air, somewhere between having the day off and getting off at noon. I'll keep you posted.
