    Was scheduled for PTO to shoot sporting clays today, practice for a 3 day shoot next week. Just cancelled my PTO so working today instead. Thunder and lightning with heavy rain for next 6 hours. I can clean and oil the guns after getting wet but there's something about standing in the open with a steel pipe in your hands with lightning all around that tells me it may not be the smartest thing to do...

    I remember our church steeple had a lightning rod on top with a thick woven cable running all the way down to the ground to a metal stake. Always wondered what would happen if it got struck
