Keystone State Thread

Hey yall been awhile, apparently TW got kicked off the work network so I haven't been checking in as much as regular.

That's awesome, me and the fiancée are planning to elope in glacier, and then do our honeymoon in Yellowstone, still trying to figure out if we are going to do it with the 4 dogs. Lol

 

Yellowstone is on my bucket list. I am planning a trip to Utah in November. My cousin live outside of salt Lake and haven't seen her in years. The area she lives in looks absolutely beautiful. But I'll most likely will be flying out. But if I land the job at amtrak that might be off the table.

 

I'm hoping the heat wave breaks soon, it's miserable

 

Time to go out and water the flowers.

 

Imagine Maine is getting 90 degree temperatures where most of the houses do not have air conditioning. To me that is rough. This heat will hopefully ease up by next week.

 

Another early start so an early good morning all, I saw 69 degrees on my way in ! But that was short lived 72 in city.

Taking one dog would be a lot. Research if you’re allowed to have them in the parks. A lot of places don’t allow dogs on trails. So that would be disappointing. And plan months ahead. If you’re planning to do it this year you’re way behind already. Booking things is 6 months to a year out. We learned the hard way when we started planning in March. Super great idea to elope and get married though. Some friends did that in whitefish a couple years or so ago. Incredible pictures. My cousin and her husband did the same thing around Yellowstone. They live just outside the northeast entrance to the park. We’ll be stopping to visit them for a few days the end of next week. There’s a lot to figure out and a lot of driving but it will be well worth it. Hoping we can take my mom in a couple years. She needs to see all of these things too.

Good morning all and happy Friday.

 

Visited Yellowstone back in 2001 and would love to go back. We had cabins near Old Faithful for almost a whole week. Didn't make it to Glacier but did ride south through Grand Teton. Whole area is incredible and I'm really hoping to get back. Yosemite is on my list as I haven't made it that far west just yet.

Yep, already started planning for August 2025, had a meeting with an elopement photographer a few weeks ago to get some ideas. Hopefully by the end of this year we should have everything planned out.

 

Good morningish pa. My shep woke me up at 2am went back to sleep at 4am got up about 20mins ago. Head feels like it was in a blender. So glad I took the day off.

 

Petco is killing me on mouse and rat prices. Been coming here for 20years. Mice used to be 2.50 mouse now 6.50. Rats used to be 6 now 15.98. Wtf come on now this is getting ridiculous.
