can someone review the pro/con arguments, or do I need to cancel my Friday night plans and review every post for the last 18 months?

The T7 appeals to me for BRD type stuff.

If you hadn't specified Japanese machines (i think that was you?) I'd have chimed in with an italian suggestion, but honored your request. And you seem oriented toward decidedly modern appearance.
