Hot Wheels 55 Chevy Gasser with wheel swap and details. I left the orange Dodge Power Wagon as is.

 

55 Chevy Gasser with bleed thru and wheel swap. Nova Gasser SW received wheel swap as well. One week from today my employer is throwing me a retirement barbecue. I'm done being apart of the workforce since 1973. No plans to live on Tacoma World all the time now but have increased my involvement with my regions vintage drag racing with my photography, artwork and writing for a national publication. Also getting more involved with my areas car shows and cruises. Seen to many people retire and just wait to die. My worst fear is doing like my one coworker did. He couldn't wait to retire and when he finally did he was found dead 2 months later after he had a brain aneurysm brushing his teeth in the morning. Hit so fast the brush was still in his mouth.

Edit: All the older men in my life have had this same fear or so i’ve only noticed it in recent years, but the biggest thing is keeping busy. You have to have something to look forward to doing every day. The more metal sits, the more it rusts, so hold fast and keep moving! Congrats on retirement!

Yes, congratulations on your retirement. I still have 10 years but unfortunately I don’t think my company is going to make it another 10. Been working there 37 years next week.
