I replaced the dome lights on my Tacoma 2016 TRD sport 2WD, after that my traction control button does not work, does not activate nor deactivate the traction control, instead if I press the traction control button turns on and off the interior lights. I tried replacing the button but kept doing the same. any hints on how to solve the problem. Thank you.

Welcome to TW…you checked all the fuses first?
Removed all the LED bulbs you installed?

I did, check the fuses none are blown, I want to check if there is a relay for the Traction control.

Thats correct, the issue began after the bulb replacement, I don't know if something caused a short circuit or something similar.

Are you visually inspecting the fuses or doing it with a meter? This really does sound like a blown fuse. A little late now but in the future make sure to disconnect your battery before doing any electrical work.

I did check them with a meter, I will do that now, check them one by one.

I am not positive but aren’t there two fuse boxes? Under hood and driver side kick plate

yes. the under-hood one is primarily main engine/exterior items, with the in-cab box being primarily 'creature comfort' stuff. radio, lights, seat heaters, etc.

So, did you check both fuse boxes?

Did you remove the bulbs and put them back to stock?
The trac light will illuminate if the check engine light comes on……if the CEL isn’t on make sure the bulb check works with the key on and engine not running.
