    @Superdave1.0 got some shavings in rear diff. First change since regear. RwD and its my daily and been driving fine. A little bit normal? No reason to be concerned or is this a red flag?
    My mechanic buddy said it is normal.

    That's a slight bit more than normal. But maybe normal from the re gear. Maybe change it early, like 10k miles from now, see what it looks like.

    Majority of the time it's just a thick paste of metal and gunk on the magnet.

    I wouldn't be concerned at all. Unless the next change has similar large chunks.
