Good morning guys, have a great Friday!

Been busy the past couple of days doing projects at my wife’s business. Long hot days make me go to bed early so not much TW time. It’s a babysitting day today so only slightly less work lol.

 

It is always nice to get out, marvel at the view and spend some time with friends on Fanny Friday.

What’s on the plate today?

 

A little light house cleaning, some cooking for the week and laundry. All that’s checked off.

Went to one of out parks where the local ham radio club was having a field day. Met the people so I’ll be a familiar face when I take my license test. Made a couple of contacts on their radios, the farthest away was a guy in Cheyanne, WY.

Back home now, sitting in the AC.

Sounds nice, ham test go well I would expect? Finished digging the ditch. Went looking for rock but not want I wanted. May have to settle for other stuff.

 

It’s very hot here, heat index today was 103. They have us under high heat advisories through Thursday of 105-108.

I didn’t test today, I was just making contact with them so I’m not some total stranger just walking in for the test. I hope to test next month, need to take a few more practice tests and study the electrical theory stuff some more.

That was a long ditch to dig out. Looking for 2's and 4's to put in it?

 

Yeah I’d show ya the full pic of the ditch but it won’t load. Trying to find bigger rock but may have to just settle.

 

I’ve helped my neighbor fix some drainage problems on his property. The 2&4, that’s what we call mixed 2” and 4” rocks down here, is about the biggest you can work by shovel and it’s hard work. Expensive too since they have to ship it in from north Alabama or Georgia.
