Ya I know I've played stuff sorta like it that's in video games and enjoy it and love listing to podcast where people do DND stuff and have watched friends play but every time they ask if I want to play I say nah.

 

It was fun being a cybernetic mandalorian bounty hunter that was a recovering blue milk addict and had a very concerning obsession with his disruptor rifle

 

You should definitely give it a try. Especially if you already have friends playing it. It'll be easier to get into when you're playing with people you know

 

So I do yes but one group are moooore work friends lol I don't wanna play with them for reasons lol. Another friend group plays it but they have a full group so no capability to do it with them. Other group does it online and have done it in vr before and I sat through that one it was cool! But they have been offline for a bit because life. I think that's about it lol

 

Could always talk to the second friend group and see about possibly joining a game. Unless they're doing a very long campaign. Wouldn't hurt to ask them though

 

Ya possible but it's also something they do for an escape so don't wanna intrude ya know

 

I mean every type of hobby is an escape. Camping? Escape. Wheeling? Escape. Just wrenching on something? Escape. Video games? Escape. Etc etc

Ask them to let you in for a one shot. That'll get your toes wet and give you the experience of making a character and doing some questing.

Long beds are pretty dang nice haha got the dirtbikes and a set of newish wheels for the truck so I won't have fucking blue wheels anymore!
