Good morning everyone. Been at my work 38 years today. Like to say I’m going to retire there but I have a few more years to go and I don’t think the company is going to make it much longer.

Been at my current place for 6 years and they're going through a major restructure and I'm getting pretty darn nervous.

Happy Monday all. If Starliner doesn't make it back safely from the ISS I've got a feeling there will be layoffs here. I'm high enough in seniority I don't think it will touch me. But you never know.

Good Monday morning friends! Hope everyone has a great day :hattip:

Got home from church last night and the air wasn't cooling, I checked what I could and something stopped the drain up with clover leaves. I cleaned that out and figured the coil was froze up so I left it off until 4:30 this morning and cut it back on. Cut it back off at 5:20 cause it wasn't cooling. Going to call the people who installed it a few years ago, hopefully it's still under warranty.

I've got 8yrs in at my job, and they are making us all nervous. Constantly restructuring, talking About numbers... it's stressful. Hopefully your company makes it for you to retire

When I had mine put in in 2020 the standard offer was 1 year warranty parts and labor. I went to negotiate 2 years and my guy laughed and said sure, I definitely won't be back here in 2 years. Hopefully it's not a kink/leak in your lineset.

I had a guy check it this winter and the freon was good. The outdoor unit was freezing up, turns out it was a simple adjustment of the defrost sensor.

It's been running fine, hopefully it's something as simple as a capacitor.

I was just bout to say check the capacitor. Also flush your drain line since you had to clean it out. There could be a “snot clog” in the line. Vinegar will help keep it clear.

I got to be pretty decent friends with my AC guy, he's who I bought my hunting camper from so I wanted to know his regiment what he does on his personal stuff. He sprays the sides of the unit off thoroughly every 6 months or so with a hose, careful not to bend any of the fins. Obviously blow out your discharge. But he went inch by inch spraying the outside, probably took him 10 minutes to do the entire thing. He said the cleaner those fins are the easier the life of the unit is.

Owner passed away a few years ago and his wife sold the company to an investment company. They only care about the dollar coming in. Now my old production manager is running the show and doing a lousy job! Taking all the stupid jobs the original owner said weren’t worth the return. Some loose money because they don’t know what they’re doing and the quality has gone downhill bad!!

Yikes…. Here’s to hoping that doesn’t happen.

Here’s too for a simple AC fix @six5crèéd

@williams63 , congrats on the 38. Too bad that kind of corporate piracy’s allowed. So much goes from the pockets of people who make the company run to the top 5%…:annoyed:

    Good morning everyone :hattip:
