The holes Cole and I are digging for the post at the garden, one of them we got about a foot deep and put about 6" of water in it Saturday to loosen it up some. It's so dry and the ground is so hard.

This morning, the water is still standing in it

 

Maybe you're meant to have a pond instead of a garden?

 

Might be auger time or put an old wood spade bit in a drill to break it up. I've got a gas auger at my camp if you've got nothing else going on and $200 in gas money to burn

 

I had an auger for my tractor years ago and sold it, it wouldn't touch hard ground like this. My brother has one for his skidsteer and it will dig through anything.

I’ve been with my work for a long 28 years which means nothing compared to your duration, yet the situation makes me felt spent.

One thing I now realize is the numbers are the way they are, but it all up to the analysis to focus on which parts of the number, their narrative will then be heading that direction. It’s a two edged sword!

 

Were playing ping pong here. They're either saying we had a record breaking week or quarter OR they're saying we can't afford to hire for the open positions we have. At this point we all just kind of ignore it

 

Same here, we've had 5 positions get vacated in the last year and 0 have been refilled. And 6 months ago there was an opening posted and interviewed for 3 weeks before 2 guys got layed off. Who's steering the ship here?

 

I'm on my third factory; I jumped ship on the first two exactly one year before they closed the doors, the writing was on the wall (they both went to Mexico).
A couple of months ago the current goobers that I work for 'demerged' their entire North America ice cream division (which is huge)....nobody has any idea what demerged even means but I can honestly assure you that there's one feller in southeast Missouri that doesn't care. I dont worry about it like I did when I was younger, if they shut the doors tomorrow I'll eat bread sandwiches if I have to, I'll never look for another job.

I spray my ac unit off almost everytime I'm in the back yard....I just sprayed it yesterday.

 

Don't tell the boss but I've got an interview this afternoon for a job I probably wouldnt take if offered. I won't say who with but I like to keep the blade sharp and stay in shape for stuff like this. If they want to get crazy I'll listen, end of the day they need me way more than I need them, as it stands today lol...

 

Thats the best kind of interview, one you're able to walk away from. Its like buying a vehicle. Good luck!!

Where I seeded our front yard after moving the parking this winter looked great before the leaves came out, now it's dead.

 

Looks like a perennial rye judging by how green green it is which will check out in summer, just too hot for it. We would overseed tee boxes with that during winter as our Bermuda went dormant.

 

I don't remember what it was I put on it but I'm going with what you said. At least it's not gravel anymore

 

Just left my folks place. It’s always saddening to leave them. But in today’s case, it is sweltering outside. I don’t know if home is going to be any better, though I am willing to find out!
