    It was a good run. There were dogs having fun. There was a Bronco teetering half off the trail. We saw deer. Explored a leg of the trail new to us. Our trucks made noises we didn’t like. I pooped in an outhouse twice (I made noises we didn't like). This trip had everything!

    I'm fairly confident i know the old wooden outhouse you speak of if its off the north end of moon gulch. Camped there with my niece and brother years ago. That's such a great network of trails there. All ties into central city and Yankee Hill. I have spent a fair amount of time exploring that area. Lots of mining history (and visible pollution) along gamble gulch road. Did you get to see the shaft house?

    I used the toilets at the pickle gulch group campsite. Just sounded better to say outhouse. If you’re referring to the creepy shack with graffiti on the side where I suspect cult rituals are performed nightly, we didn’t go that far. There’s a big open junction with a bowl (map) where you can play a little maybe halfway down the trail. I don’t recall any interesting obstacles on the trail past that point, so we turned around there.

    Tons more to explore back there. You need to go back and spend a full day. This is the craphouse on moon gulch circa 2019.

    Ah, we stayed on the main trail except for one offshoot before the junction I mentioned, so we didn’t see either of those you mentioned. I’m thinking of another shack. But yeah, I’ve noticed many adjacent trails I’d like to explore. Just didn’t have time yesterday.

    @Madjik_Man @JasonLee

    It isn't exactly what I was looking for, but it's a premium example of what it is.

    A bona fide 1st gen regular cab topper, and even has a key for the locks.

    "Surfside Green Mica"

    I wanted a white topper from the start though. Proper '90s mini truck setup. I've seen some Surfside Green trucks with color-matched toppers and didn't care for that look.

    Discovered a tic on me last night. Wondering if it hitched a ride back with me on Friday and was just chillin on my body or if the bastards are in the lawn. I was only under trees once and never in any grass. Checked Archer, found nothing.
    On a side note, had a dude knock on the door a few weeks ago selling lawn treatments for insects. He mentioned tics, spiders, etc. In 30 years have never had a problem, but have relocated a few spiders in the last week and now the tic. Did that dude release a swarm of bugs on the neighborhood?

    There’s at least three pest control companies canvassing my neighborhood.

    They say, “oh, your neighbor ————— right around the corner just used our services..”

    I reply, “no she didn’t. We’re friends. We walk our dogs together every day. I know she didn’t use any pest control services.”

    Then I look at my “No Soliciting” sign hanging right next to the front door.

    btw - Rocky Mtn Wood/Red ticks are very common in the foothills.
