Just wait until it starts raining again. You'll be in the other direction and complaining about having to mow every 3-4 days.
Thing is we are on a large creek and if necessary I can pump it up and water the yard.
I've been doing that for the garden the past week every other day for about an hour.

@DetroitDarin looked up the tractor and for being 18 years old, doesn't look too bad. Replacing hydro lines is pretty much par for the course honestly. We have two Kubota UTV's at work with the 3 cylinder diesels and they get abused and barely maintained, over 1500 hours on one and it still runs pretty good. Only issues with them is rust messing with the shutoff solenoids and return springs. One time guy couldn't get it to shut off and they were going to pull the battery to get it to turn off. Being mechanical injection this does not work. I raised up the bed and manually shut if off at the injection pump. Manager and co-worker looked at me like I was a wizard

I wouldn’t worry about it. The creepy ones don’t give you directions to where they live. That kinda creepy is usually reserved for serial killers… :spy:

I don't want to have to increase my budget; but there are a few things that bother me:

the Teeny TINY front wheels on most sub-compacts. They just look awful. Do they work? Probably. Sure.

That and I don't want a mower deck - though I can remove it, of course, but I don't want the stuff laying around. I'd need to sell it separately.

A completely bizarre thing: Most tractor shops around here are not open on Saturdays. (sigh) I could go out of state, but unwilling to buy something sight-unseen without some amount of guarantee.

I could try to buy new, but the point is to have a tractor for about a year, vs renting 5-10x, then resale, and the depreciation hit on a new one isn't worth it.

I got a feeling once you buy one and use it, you'll find more uses for it than you think and you'll keep it. Keep your eyes open, yours will come along soon

I'd be skeptical at buying one sight-unseen. It's possible, but would have to be a really really good deal.

Are you a tractor guy who'd want to drive out and look at any for me? :) :D

81 is the Devils Highway. The trucks in both lanes - one driving at 65mph, the other at 65.025 mph trying to pass...for an hour.

I just came from Chambersburg back to 16 via 81 and someone 20 cars ahead was being the left lane police. I'm normally rolling along at 80 but nooo I was stuck at 70...
