I used a small flathead screwdriver and popped one tab out at a time while gently pulling on the outside with my fingertips. This worked quite well.

We tried headlight restoration kit on my old rav 4, worked ok...wifey came outside with a toothbrush and plain colgate...worked better than the restoration kit....maybe try that?

Surprised no one said buy a pro grill yet..:D:anonymous:

Actually surprised also. I would never suggest that. Whilst very popular here not everyone wants to be a TRD bro. I changed my SR5 which honestly the 2020+ version is decent looking for on off a TRD sport and I think it looks good on mine. 20240622_204531.jpg
The TSS grille emblem is the same across all models except the pro.

dpippel , we're a couple months out since you polished the emblem w/ the CERAKOTE compund. How's the fix held up? I just noticed the same on my emblem and wondering which route to go. The pictures you posted looked promising. Thanks!

It's holding up great! The AZ summer sun has been blasting it for a couple of months now, and it looks as good as the day I polished it. I'll post a pic or two tomorrow.

looks like it cleaned up good with that product. That's awesome because I looked at replacing mine when I broke a tab changing my grille. They are over $200! Thanks god for super glue, mine is still okay.

This sounds wrong when taken out of context.

I covered mine with a smoked clear film made for exterior use. Cuts down the bright chrome look and protects from getting that crappy film stuff. Does not interfere with TSS.
