Ideally you want both batteries identical if they will be run off the same charging system at the same time. You can run into some issues with different discharge rate batteries. One feeding the other etc.

I'll have them linked with a DCDC system, so they don't need to be the same chemistry.

At that point I would look at moving them to the rear of the cab. I know you’re kind of fighting a losing battle with weight to the rear. Rear of the cab is going to be the most central to have them for weight. Plus simplicity of having them potentially side by side or close to.

Kevin told me the same thing when we discussed plans for my truck. There is plan for valving of some sort in every shock.

You guys are so fortunate to have the shock wizards you do out there! If I were in your area I would 100% be paying them vs doing it myself. One session and you’re dialed.

move them both to the cab or bed. makes a big performance difference in the front suspension. I had dual AGM behind my rear dc seats.

    Whole lotta stuff
Anybody got one of these ABS wire brackets hanging around? Putting my driver side back together and noticed that the bracket is completely missing. Probably became a casualty of the trail. Looking for ideas for a solution other than letting the wire hang freely. Doesn’t appear it could contact anything but just to be safe rather it not get snagged.

Good timing on this topic... I'm finally catchin' up with Phil @ Liberty to get my shocks tuned next month now that my weight is locked in. If I remember, maybe I'll grab some before/after shots of someone much smarter than me unfucking my shocks.

Not exactly. Then it's on the opposite side of your starter so you'll have to add a decent amount of cable anyways and then it's not much more work to move it towards the back at that point. And it won't balance things as much as you'd think in that spot. Speculating here but probably the 2nd reason the factory spot is there is to counterweight some of the driveline torque tilting the vehicle. Putting the battery in the back pass side counteracts the gas tank and helps level the truck as a whole so it's not a big deal that it gives up some of the balance in the front while on the gas when it makes the entire truck more balanced overall. The move you're suggesting will cause more of the tilting effect while on the gas with minimal other gains - no bueno. The best options are in the middle as much as possible, in the back somewhere opposite the gas tank, or the lightest battery that still fits your needs in the factory spot

I moved it to the center of the area behind the rear seats. Pretty sure I posted photos on TW elsewhere, but I can post more it y'all want.
It wasn't hard and feels like it really helped.

I moved mine to behind the passenger side seat. I’ve had no issues with it being there.
