    Hello World,

Quick new post of my new tacoma experience! I recently upgraded my truck to fox shocks and now my suspension is terrible and everything sounds loose... like the shock isn't fully seated. It's not any metal on metal sound, just every bump(s) big or small and I mean SMALL, you can feel it knocking around.

When I installed them, I only removed the upper control arm bolt and the sway bar link, then installed. I have taken everything apart twice, re-installed and torqued. Never had this problem with any of the other trucks I have had in the past.

Currently talking with Shock Surplus and they're considering me sending them back for testing, so for the 3rd time I will be taking the shocks out...

    Welcome to TW!

Have you tried torquing the lower control arm nuts? If you got an alignment, there is a chance they were not properly torqued and can make the sounds you are describing.

I did not consider that… I will jack it up tonight and verify everything I didn’t touch and report back.

    Thanks!

Good luck and hope it’s something easy. Here is the torque sheet, in case you need it.

Update: Been a couple days because I been busy and ended up taking it to 4Wheel parts just up the road from me and turns out it's the Fox Shocks that are the issue... They confirmed after their testing and noticed fluid residue on the coilovers.

Just my luck, luckily they didn't charge me for it but glad I got a professional opinion. Next steps - sending these junk shocks back in.
