In the fuse box under my hood, there are a series of relays that have to activate in order to get power to the fuel pump to the best of my knowledge. One relay will close energizing another relay and to the best of my knowledge the EFI real closes first, then the Open circuit relay then the fuel pump relay my problem is even with a brand new relay in the EFI position, it won't start, but if I just put a solid jumper in place of the relay it does start you can't leave the jumper or else it runs your battery down anybody ever heard of this or know any direction I can go

First question. Does your security light keep flashing with the key in the ignition and turned on?

We need to check power and grounds at the EFI control side of the relay.

    Pull the EFI relay.
With the key ON, Check Pin 1 power
    And pin 2 for ground.

    See what your missing.

At the EFI relay, key on.
Pins 1 and 5 should have power and pins 2 and 3 should be ground.

Then the truck should run with a good relay installed, are you certain your relay is good?

I'll test the relay again or change it out with another one that I've tested and yes, sir I'm using the programmable Toyota key, One thing I failed to mention The key cylinder for sometime has gotten to where you can pull the key out of the cylinder at any point driving down the road doesn't have to be turned back into the office position. I originally thought it may have something to do with that basically because he turned the key there a certain protocol it all goes through, do you think that might could be a possibility?

    Try a new relay.
You have power and ground at all the right places.
The issues seems to be with the relay, or the connection of the relay.

BTW, You might want to check your key and see if it will unlock your doors.
Mine wore down and would NOT unlock the doors.
If your battery goes dead, good luck getting in the truck.
You need in the truck to pop the hood.

An immobilizer issue would be unrelated to the EFI Relay, the EFI Relay has to turn on in order for the PCM to power up. If the EFI Relay doesn't turn on you would have no CEL and no communication with the PCM, the Immobilizer function is programming in the PCM that disables the fuel injectors if the PCM does not get a valid code/signal from the Transponder Key ECU.

From what I understand your saying the truck runs with a jumper in place of the EFI Relay but not with the EFI Relay installed, this would not be an immobilizer issue.
