The new spindle is so pretty, but would have been better to not snap the bolt in the original.

If you do not have a bottle of MAPP gas as part of your "tool kit" I would suggest getting one. A Bernzomatic torch and MAPP gas cylinder are very handy and would have served you well in this situation.

I did a thing - at 62 it was time to move to a bigger platform for hauling and traveling abroad. I traded in my Tacoma for a tundra. here is the link to where it is for sale in Lubbock TX if anyone is interested in it.

$39,750 invested in EXTRAS over the course of the past 13 years, I left the two pages of upgrades, my business card/contact information so who ever purchases it if they want to discuss in detail, I am available. Plus, I have more in the shop I will give to whoever purchases it, if after 6 months nobody shows up to collect, I will sell off here etc.

Heads up - Traded my Tacoma in and now its for sale in Lubbock TX | Tacoma World

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on this forum through the years learning from all of you, I wish you all the best with your rigs!

2.5" OME lift, Fox 2.5 coil overs, all pro expo leafs, ubolt flip kit w/ upgraded bump stops, 1.25" wheel spacers, 16" Bronze KMC Impact OL wheels, 295/75/r16 Nitto grapplers, beige Softopper, Brute force front bumper w/smittybilt winch, RCI rear bumper, caliraised rock sliders, TRD IFS skid plate custom swingout tailgate w/spare tire mount, TC bed stiffeners, Magnum force CAI, KC spotlights, tacomabeast headlights, rear seat molle panel odds and ends, hi lift, MESO interior lights, and a fuck load of patches… more planned for later.
Dude no way! I always liked seeing pics of your Tacoma because it was such a nice build. Just because you don’t have a taco anymore doesn’t mean you have to stop coming to the forums. That tundra you picked up is beefy :muscleflexing:

Sadly, mapp production has ceased in the USA. Map-pro is not the same, and burns at about 150° hotter than propane. Save your money and just buy propane

Got rid of my fold a cover G4 Elite cover today. After 10 years and lots of rain and leaking with no replacement parts available any longer and sadly it got too heavy to keep.

i keep a butane torch too, it burns pretty hot and is cheap (people use it for cooking in those little portable stoves and torches).

I am not a roof rack expert however I already see rain and wind issues with your design.

To be fair, I agree with you. Cardboard is just not going to cut it in a roof rack.

I redid my bed slide. The first one I made was heavy. This one is lighter and slides smoother. I used roller balls I got off Amazon. I started with 16 roller balls but added more later.

I also changed my key from a separate fob and key to a flip key.

Anybody have a DCLB driver side fender or bedside panel in MGM sitting around? Apparently they're on national back order and could delay the repairs

I need my truck back, I need to go camping!

Goodbye 3:73, been happy with 4:30! I feel like I have my low end torque back and more power at highway speeds.

    IMG_2524.HEIC.jpg
ECGS was great to work with, still waiting on that core refund though.

On my continued journey on attempting to create a Lexus quiet cabin with my Tacoma I added the door edge seals to the left and right sides on the rear doors as the final touch. Roof, back wall, floor, and doors are all sound deadened, now I need to get rid of the garbage exhaust I installed...

    IMG_2814.HEIC.jpg

As much as the KM3 mud tire pattern looked great they were loud and worn down. Switching to the KO2's has been the best improvement I’ve done to my truck in a while and I only broke one TPMS sensor installing them!

    IMG_2704.jpg

Between the sound deadening and KO2's I can finally have a normal conversation at highway speeds!

Installed ECGS bushing, pretty straight forward and seems to have cured some of the vibes coming from the truck. Might have to check left rear wheel bearing and maybe left CV axle for noises now. Funny how you cure one ailment only to hear OTHER noises.
