Who has set this 45 day time limit?
Are you documenting this process in writing?
Have they handed you a procedure or policy they are following?
Is anyone directly involved with the authority to make you whole or are these just nobodies checking boxes?

TBH, this sounds like BS. You car looks like ass. It's painfully obvious without even seeing it in person.

No. It's not obvious. At least not to me.
I would try to communicate via email only. Anything verbal would be documented immediately after in an email and circulated to all the parties.
    Don't leave anything to chance.

Me either. I was being very sarcastic. I posted the link to the California lemon law for a reason.

2 repair orders on different days have been open for the ac issue, along with a case with corporate, along with corporate getting back to me saying they cant reflash the ac module with the other operating program....
2 repair orders have been generated with 2 separate paint issues on 2 different days, also case open by me & toyota service dept to corporate....
toyota service dept's body shop took extensive 40 pictures for the corporate internal investigation process & sent them off with a detailed estimate on what its going to take to repair.....
I pleaded my case, everything was recorded....

Corporate stated they have 45 days to make a determination, it is what it is at this point, patiently waiting...june 24th

Saw a blue 4G Tacoma on the lot when I was picking up parts. Both front fenders (metal part not plastic) had orange peel all over them. The plastic fenders had a really bad finish on them too; looked like it would fade and chip easily after some sun exposure.

Toyota has never been known for their paint quality.

This looks like train damage and was hack and wacked in the yard. This would've been sold as is and sent to a school or somewhere else. If this was from the line I'd be very surprised.. Since you bought this from a dealer it should be covered under warranty.

I checked out a blue crush metallic truck over the weekend, one very noticeable spec by the door handle that was painted over. I didn’t even comb over the truck in depth.

I popped the hood and saw a ton of dirt collected under there. Maybe these trucks are being made in a very dirty and dusty area of Mexico? I’m unfamiliar with with the geography of where the plants are

Sorry about your luck. I've ran into some bad luck with my new GMC Canyon as well. There were about 7 black specs under the paint in the hood. Someone from the factory must have tried to correct them. The hood requires a repaint. It has multiple other defects as well. I'm also trying to get a replacement. Shouldn't have to repaint a new truck.

You are definitely on the right track with this advice, perhaps in addition, publish a YouTube video and copy Toyota with the link… this will get a lot of attention on YouTube.

I went through a similar issue. Got home from the dealer after buying a new 23 OR. Noticed a smudge on the rocker panel. When I rubbed it with a rag, the paint came off. The full length of both rocker panels and both front fenders. Contacted cooperate about replacing the truck and waited. They came back with "this is what your warranty is for". I did not accept that response and we went thru a third-party dispute settlement company. They sided with Toyota, saying the same thing, a warranty issue. Maybe you will have better luck. If you do have to keep the truck and have it repainted, get a certified Toyota repair center to do the work. The one I used said their work is guaranteed for life.fender2.jpg
