Tail Light Replacement 2016

    unloosened bolts and it pop out of upper but the lower will not pop out. i pulled on it until i thought it might break so stopped. you tube says may be a bit tight but not to pull to hard you don't want to break it.
    do i just go for it, my luck this will turn into a big goat rope just to replace back up light bulb.

    I tried again and no luck. shined light down in there and can see where the peg goes in but the thin metal piece it goes into just bends outward. peg will not come out.
    i give up!

    Have you got a pretty long screwdriver to see if you can bend the tabs inward?

    on the 2nd try i squirted penetrating oil down on the peg. i decided to go back and try one more time and finally got it off.
    this is what happens when you are turning 79 in a month, half a day to change a light bulb!
