From what I understand I think it can be done in 3....but most say 4 to enjoy it. I'm up for anything really. Maybe the first moto camp trip should be an easier/closer one? Hell......I have no clue

Nice vids. was the clothes' line to the helmet, chest or the neck? either way, looked like a good time.

I broke the first metatarsal (big bone in big toe) dirtbiking a long while ago. Plate 5 screws n pin had to be put in, pin got taken out and the rest stayed but the doc was like come back in 6 months and lets talk about any issues with the hardware. Went back at that 6 month mark and told him yeah get this stuff out it irritates the hell outta me sometimes. The surgery getting the hardware removed was fairly easy, was walking that same day and just had to let things heal over the next month or so before full send activities. That stated, if bone grows over the hardware that can cause more issues.

So uh I ran into this guy a few times before when talking with keegan and his gold wing. He talked to me a bit on Sunday and asked me a lot of questions about how I started riding and all that. Asked if he could take a pic for a post as I was getting ready to sit on the bike haha. Thought nothing of it until emil found the post lmao

And ya I was only wearing this t shirt oh well.. it was extremely hot so I wanted to be a tad comfy sue me lol

Just got back from a nice long ride on the monkey and wife on her scooter. Stopped for a margarita and now home. Missed that from last summer. Can’t wait to do it again. So much fun!!

Is it just me or is there anyone else that absolutely hates having a passenger on their bike? My wife has asked me before if I would take her for a ride on the FZ1 and I said no. I don’t want to be responsible for her just in case something bad would happen. Don’t think I could live with myself if something happened. IDK to each their own but not me.
    What say you?

I don't mind carrying a passenger but I do have to adapt my riding style when doing so. My ex rode her own bike and was a very skilled rider, enough so that on the right bike she could often outride me in the twisties. Current partner has no interest in riding her own and that's fine, but she does enjoy riding and is a trooper when it comes to travel by bike. There are pluses and minuses both ways.

no issues with having the gf on the back tbh. i personally enjoy it so we are not taking two vehicles to the same location. its just us together having a good time! plus having a backpack gives you backrubs and other things so im cool with having her on the back.

i have told her thou if we have to close of a call or actually have an incident the bolt is being sold and we will focus on dual sports and dirt riding and only doing a little street. she is fine with this since its getting worse out and since she has been with me we have had a few close calls but nothing super terrifying thankfully.

    No riders here.

I’ve done it twice years ago with different people, told them to do what I do, lean if I lean in a turn. That said both times almost wrecked it turns because the passenger didn’t like the feel of the lean and countered by staying as vertical as possible or more.

I can't stand riding with even a backpack on so I can't imagine riding with a passenger. My wife has no interest in riding one way or the other so that works out great for me. I even removed the back pegs because they are never going to be used while I own the bike.

One thing I've found with hauling a passenger has been this, start them off easy and with short rides if you want them to enjoy it. I've met and heard from so many females that their first ride was sadly with some squid on a sport bike who wanted to impress them with how fast it would go or how they could pop a wheelie with he poor girl on the back and it traumatized them. I look it it as my passenger's life is in my hands and it's my responsibility to keep them safe. That means full properly fitted gear. That means going over the basics of seating position, footpegs, where to hold on and how to let me know if there are ANY issues. I have a spare helmet set up for a com unit so we can talk. It honestly pisses me off to hear these women talk about how they're scared to death of motorcycles all because some idiot with more testosterone than brain cells ruined it for them.

You need your riding partner to be able to trust you and trust your judgement. It's gotten to the point where Dianne actually will take a short nap on the back of the bike on long interstate stretches and when cranking through some twisties doesn't bat an eye if a footpeg scrapes.

I took my neighbor's young daughter on her first ever motorcycle ride as soon as she was big enough to reach the footpegs. I loved being able to give her that experience and took it as a great responsibility. She told her folks that when she gets old enough to drive she doesn't want a car, she wants a motorcycle. I'll take that as a win.

Def straight neck lol just glad it was something that had some give and not a bigger tree. I had another really funny get off during the trip but I haven't gone through all the videos yet.

I approached riding with my now wife in the same manner. I tried to at minimum require jeans but she still never got good gloves or boots like I wanted. Granted she was 19 and I was 20 when we started riding together so she probably had the invincible mentality. She was my extra set of eyes on the roads too, would give me a tap if she spotted deer etc. She knew how to lean and was just enjoyable to ride 2 up with. Now with our son she doesn't feel it's worth the risk riding street/2 up and I don't even have a bike capable of it anyway anymore.

More info please! Pups in a K9 pak? Howd you size the doggles?

Depends on the passenger, and on the bike. I had an old girlfriend that just knew how the weight moved and made it a breeze. My girlfriend now hasn't ridden as much and doesn't move the same. This is one of many reasons we don't talk about that other woman. My GF doesn't like the gear and has spent too much time in midwest where most folks on bikes are riding their HD's on the weekends in shorts and a t shirt. I'm wearing her down, tho. And I have one bike I've kept just for the two up option, so she needs to embrace the FF and get some miles under her belt.

    This is the way. ^^
