I don’t know how the previous owners didn’t do anything about it in the 15 years they owned the house. It was painfully obvious by month 2 that it was going to be a serious problem. Had if remedied by month 3.

Our alarm company mounted our alarm panel right below our thermostat... The cooling fan on the panel would run and our house was so cold during winter. I moved the alarm panel and its good to go now.

So after living in my home for 3 years I decide to get the backyard spigot replaced cause no water ever came out. Long story short I spend $405 dollars to get a 12” x 12” piece of drywall cut out to access a spigot that wasn’t defective. Traced the lines and no kinks or other valves found. Now I need to repair the sheet rock and try to find paint that matches. Talking cussing some bad words. :annoyed:

    long story short

waste of time and money and still no water to backyard spigot. :censored:

Uh second.. only reason I'm installing another one is the fender repair I had done.. the guy was an idiot and did a crap job and the patch actually swells and shrinks with the temperature... Got a quote to replace fender and blend the pain it was $2,500.00.. so I said the snorkel wasnt that bad lol

Ours is in a hallway about the center of the house not near a vent. But it is above 1 of the 2 intakes. Not sure that makes a difference. We've never really had an issue like this though until this heat wave.
I have a foam insulation board and HVAC foil tape. I cut the board and used the tape to fit around the window units and seal them up. So that should help.

first time cooking crabs. Kids have been begging to eat them so here we are. I’ve been allergic to shellfish since I was 10 otherwise these things would be happening way more often. No clue what I’m doing.

Our family does low country boils regularly but I've never cooked a whole crab. I do love them though. Being allergic would be awful. I get ticks on me almost every time I go to the woods and I I've heard some tick bites can make you allergic to red meat. I'd probably just die if that ever happened.

Yea we do low country boils a lot too, but we just have to pull my portion out before the shellfish gets added. Still tasty?

yea those ticks terrify me. I’d be down to just fish at that point

Ticks take 48-72 hours to transfer any infections into your bloodstream. Just make sure to check yourself thoroughly every time you come out of the woods and you'll be alright. I think the red meat allergen type are called Lone Star ticks and can be identified by a white spot on their back...just in case you pull one off and get curious.

I had a few of those get me while bow hunting last year. Need to find an alternative to DEET... Trying to live a few years after retirement but odds are stacked against me. Lol firefighting foam, afghan burn pits, contaminated water on military installations, and firefighting doesn't help either.

Yea I’ve had a couple of those too. I usually put them in a ziploc till the bite mark goes away fully.

May look a little trailer parkish but no point in having supplemental AC but massive air leaks.
