Second cup is but a tease. Second pot & now we’re talking. Just such a novelty not being called away so I can actually enjoy it for once.

Working nights this week, just getting ready to go in. This is the last night tho so at least it’s back to normal next week.

 

I used to love to hate working nights

 

I get waaaaay more done on nights. Best thing is not having to explain everything to 3 different people who actually don’t give a care about it anyway.

 

I just love to hate work at this point. Starting to look at other options,, problem is I hate work so should probably just suck it up another 10 years and disappear.

 

Agreed, I get more done not having other trades in the way and answering 3 nimrods that don’t have a clue but 6-2 is a nice day.

 

I am basically a stay at home dad now. So I can’t remember what work is about.

 

What changed?

 

That was supposed to be my gig. My wife had a nice management position that paid well and was in her way up. Changed her mind!

Not sure, I think mostly it’s the new young generation coming into the trades and the fact that the longer I’m around the more I hate people/ stupidity. There’s no respect or drive and they don’t follow by example.

 

Boooooooo.

 

Yessir. Gotta be teachable. Seems like a lot of new people lack that drive or initiative. Like everything’s gotta be laid out just right before it can happen. Basic skills once taken for granted are totally nonexistent. Not many entering my field that can offer results. Kinda sad really given all the technology that’s available to learn.

 

I hate working nights.

 

I hear ya. Try running a whole jobsite of them. Most don't have a clue. And no it's not my job to teach you.
