Was the TFL truck breaking due to MTS not new? I haven't kept up too much with it besides it broke and they fixed it. I think TFL said it was due to a sleeve or something in the front axle but SavageGeese said it was due to MTS. I thought it was interesting that they said it was a software problem that caused the truck to break

Quite possible...I did a lot of skipping around since a lot of the what was being offered was already covered so I did miss where they talked about it.

Yeah around the 10 minute mark SavageGeese claims they talked with Sheldon and it broke due to TFL being in the wrong MTS mode for the conditions. TFL was in Rock mode when they should've been in Ice mode. Interesting regardless but I guess Toyota updated the software already so it can't happen again so that's good

MTS is the electronics package that manages the 4-wheel drive system (back in my day that was the driver's job). The explanation was that MTS directed too much torque to one of the front wheels because it misinterpreted traction conditions. This caused a physical part (presumably the aforementioned sleeve) to fail.
I'm glad to hear that there was an explanation and a preventive fix.
There is no "ICE" mode, however. Probably should have used "SAND". I don't recall from the TFL video what mode they had it in.

So the drivetrain is super weak and breaks if you put it in the wrong traction mode?

That sounds like something that shouldn’t happen.

This is the kind of thing that happens when you depend on computer software to do your driving for you.

Brand new 4th Gen. TRD Pro back seat, or lack of back seat. Owners should approach this vehicle like a 2 seater corvette with an optional rear bench to put your baggage on. Sad but true and not good in my little opinion for a truck period.

Mostly electrical shit that nobody cares about.
Lmao, yes but the point is that there should still be *some* available space in the rear if Skyscraper Jackson happened to be behind the wheel.

This is just comical design. Those shocks are so dumb.

Ok with seat pushed forward with person in seat how much leg room if any is in that back seat? I'm interested to know, since it looks like a joke.

I have yet to see one of these new 4th Gen. Pro's, but my guess at the end of the day is, it's a 2 seater truck with a bench in the rear. Other than pets, and very small children the back seat is no man's land for any adult. Those crazy shock absorber seats really killed it. Other than that it looks to be a really nice truck that comes with a really nice price tag.

Pretty sure I couldn't reach the steering wheel with the seat back there. Heck, might not even be able to kick the bottom of the dash. If you're 6'11, maybe people should buy a full sized truck, lol. You really should have included the front seat pic AND the rear seat pic without moving the seat. That way we could see how big a deal this really is.

One of the first things I do when looking at a new truck is hop in and adjust the front seat where I like it, then hop in the back and see what kinda leg room there is in case I ever haul folks around. With my 5'6" frame, there is plenty of leg room in the back. A 6 foot+ person may not like it for 4 hours, but an hour ride they'd be fine.

Pic was from a dealer in Covington LA none of the dealers in my area have a new Pro in fact so much I know not many have one yet. So your telling me you actually sat in the front seat of a new Pro and back seat? The back seat was no problem, no issues? The dealer is telling me the back seat was pretty much useless for a full size person. Again I am going by what they are telling me since they have one on the lot now. See link below.

No, I haven't sat in one. But after you supplied the link, I found the Pics. I absolutely wouldn't be able to drive the truck like that, hahaha.

And what is a full sized person? I'm not saying big/tall people will be comfy. If it's a problem buy a different truck. For people my sized, there would be plenty of room.

Looks like those Shock seats do take up about 4 inches. Here's another pic from a diff truck on their website.

Yep the shocks are the problem for sure. Imagine bashing ones knees into them off road. Not fun. I'm gona wait to see one in the flesh. All I can go by now is pic's and videos. We all know there is nothing like seeing it first hand. BTW the dealer is asking $2K over sticker so total $69K. I'm sure most dealers in the early stages will be asking big $$ for these Pro's. It's a very nice truck, but the back seat area has me scratching my head, plus there is no more storage under that back seat since the hybrid battery is there.
