Once it gets acclimated again, it should be okay.

Maybe get a bicycle pump & put it behind the seat.

    Good Luck :)

When you get home, pick up one of these bad boys. Easy TPMs reset.

to put this thread back on track, it doesn't have anything to do with your elevation. the sensors read the pressure they are seeing, if you go up 12000 feet and the pressure changes then it will show you what it is. Your issue is that one sensor is bad.

I have aftermarket wheels and i have had aftermarket sensors for the past 4 years. and i have had to replace one of them pretty much every year. when one disconnects for some reason the system can not adapt for it and show you the pressure in the ones that work and give you - - in the bad one. you can confirm this any any tire shop as they will try to re-sync the system and their computer can not find one of the sensors. the light may go away from time to time. i have a short commute to work and i think the relatively quick on/off would cause the light to go away next time i started the truck. any time i drove for more than an hour it would come back on.

to combat my yearly trip to the tire shop i recently got a set of OE Toyota sensors put in all 4 wheels as i had yet another cheap tire shop sensor go out on me. Denso makes the Toyota sensors, i got them online for way cheaper than the stealership and should last 10+ years.

    Thanks!

That all does make sense. IIRC, I believe I had Discount tire install the last sensors.......I thought I had them install OEM sensors but they might not have.

Either way, all tires are reading pretty much as I left them, around 35psi for the on road portion of our trip, so that makes me feel at least like its not any issue with getting low pressure in any of the tires.

The last time I had a tire deflate while I was going down the road was... NEVER. I look at my tires and can generally tell if they need air, and that's usually 3 months or more. In 55 years driving I might have had a flat in the morning, in my driveway, maybe three times. I doubt it's that many, but maybe.

If you guys reading this have more tire troubles than I've had I'd have to wonder what you are doing to have them. I saw a bunch of cars on the side of the freeway a few years ago where a construction truck had spilled a box of nails. I've seen other people with flats, maybe one while there are 100,00 cars with fully inflated tires driving past.

I think this is one of those cases where we are being sold "cheap insurance" just in case. Just in case we have a soft tire once every twenty years and we buy how many sets of sensors for how much money?

But it comforts some people to spend money on cheap insurance. LOL... And now I get to see how many people have hurt feelings by me pointing out the obvious. Sorry if I've offended anyone. It just kills me how used to we are to being sold stuff we don't need and so many people complain that they'd like to have more money.

You can test/monitor each sensor, reset, reprogram new sensors, and more. It works on any vehicle well worth the money IMHO.

Had this problem a few times sometime for 3 months tried a bunch off what was said above.. had all the problems.

Ended up going to costco or sams/walmart or a nice tire shop would do it for free (it took 3 minutes) had the guy check all the tires battery life with there reader... and all were good on my 2016... so he just resent a reading to reset it thru the OSB plug
30 minutes of driving and bam it all came back....
The thing just gets fucked up and forgets some times how to work... that was a year ago and it is still happy

Apples and oranges comparison, the Auten TS508 is a diagnostic tool that is able to read and write TPMS sensors, read sensor ID’s from the ECU, provide the sensor ID’, pressure and even battery voltage on certain sensors. I went to two different tire shops that were unable help but when I got this I was able to take care of it in minutes.

Why buy more crap when you don't need to? My garage can attest to that!

I found those giant rolls of toilet paper on Amazon, like you'd see in the gas station toilets someplace like Barstow. Handed out a couple of neighbors I liked. I still have one left.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Problem is, we're not being sold this sh$t, .gov is forcing it on everyone because a couple people are too stupid to ever look at their tires (or their oil, battery, shocks, etc.) and cause wrecks because they had a blowout. I say let Darwin do his job.

In almost 50 years of driving (and probably over a million miles), I've had 1 blowout...my fault, because I had a leaking valvestem and forgot to check my pressure before getting on the highway.

Cars existed for about a hundred years without this nanny sh$t. I utilize that which is installed in my truck, but don't rely on it and could easily do without it. Did for a lot of years.

I agree with everything you said. However we also once usd horses as our primary mode of transportation. Things change that's the way it is and always has been. In 30 years, likely less, all automobiles will be autonomous, and the current generation will be complaining much the same.

Ever notice that in an accident caused by a drunk or stupid driver, it's usually the idiot that lives while taking out the innocent people?
