Wife's close friend. Although wife's b-day is next week as well. Headed down to the cape next weekend for a getaway with friends to celebrate that one.

Going to look at appliances this morning...to replace ones that are only 11 years old.
Probably start the cabinets search also...though we have a home design consultant coming over next week...because we "need" some new furniture also.
But...happy wife means no car purchase complaints

In other non truck or weekend related news, our puppy developed separation anxiety in the last week or so. Went from being perfectly happy and liking her kennel while we were gone to bending the metal wall and slobbering everywhere trying to escape. Sooo now my work has an office dog!

Not pictured is the travel bed behind me, the five bags of training treats, and the small tote of toys to make this as not stressful as possible. So far so good, likes all my coworkers and everyone else in the office. But she has tried to run out into the shop when the door opens so she's on a leash until we get that under control.

I love stores, offices, businesses, that have a dog, I trust dogs more than people. If it adjusts well, go for it. A company dog in a restaurant might not work out well.

My Sales gig no longer allows for office dog status. Prior to this gig I was a plant manager for a shower door factory. Brodie (my Avatar) ran the place. I was his driver.

He made such an impression that when corporate, in Jacksonville Florida, asked me to come for a 3 month redesign of their operation, the CEO insisted I get an airBNB that allowed dogs, and that Brodie make the trip. He took that place over as well. When he passed last year I got more cards and rememberance than when my father died.

It can have a huge impact on a workplace.

Any tips on training to not go out the front door when it's opened? Thats the only issue so far is she'll try and go outside, and she doesn't stay nearby if that happens.

not what you want to hear, but no.

I had earned dog whisperer status among my friends and colleagues due to Brodie's awareness of his surrounding and his compliance. Now that he's gone and I'm 6 months into a new, seemingly intelligent puppy, the charade is blown. I clearly don't know shit, and Brodie just figured out the rules and chose compliance on his own.

    I'm not even kidding.

Side work today at a new build on Big Sebago. As much as I dont care for working an extra day, roughing in is the most mundane and least shitty work to be doing on my day off.

I can relate, went and did four hours of side work yesterday just grinding/fitting some two piece metal clamshell parts. Mindless work, but easy and pays the heating oil bill.

Exactly. But don’t tell my kids! I will never waiver in my superhero status willingly where they’re concerned.
