Conceal Carry: Situations you've been in

Ok...so it's just about impossible to find a small/thin, IWB tuckable, appendix crossdraw holster for anything let alone the BG380. Am I an oddball or what?

Or something that's tuckable IWB, that I can adjust the cant for crossdraw (right handed).

At a minimum, I need a ZERO cant or reverse cant -(at left of bellybutton with butt of gun facing closest to my belly button) - did that make sense?

 

anything you want this guy will make it to your specifications....

 

There are a few DIYS vids on making a kydex holster. You could make it with any cant you want.

Making a holster sounds interesting. I read a couple write-ups... looks neat. I'll have to read some more. I'm definately interested in that!

To the poster compared a pistol with the hammer down being as useless as a folding knife not being any good. Please show us the (un)folded knife that is concealed and carried by you on a daily basis.

 

Then why did Colt change from the 70 series firing system to the 80 series firing system?

No i don't have a CWP/CCW yet i'm 19 but as soon as i tern 21 i will and i will cary just about every wear i can "legally" both brothers have it. and one is a county sheriff and other is in 2nd year of law school. don't see the one in law school much summer and Christmas and when i have gone down there.

 

Colt may have changed but none of the "clones" like sig, kimber, para, and so on had to have a safety put on the firing pin. My point is that if you have a 1911 that was made after 1983, it's a non-issue. Besides that you shouldn't be dropping your pre-1983 1911 on it's muzzle anyway. Only the french drop their guns and this is america damn it!!!

There are kits to remove the firing pin safeties. Just keep in mind, any safety related problem will result in the blame being placed squarely on you.
The fps on my sig doesn't affect trigger pull enough to bother.

Basically a pocket guide of gun laws for the 50 states. I haven't seen any bad reviews and I hope it updates regularly.

Letting the dog out for a piss call in the back of interstate rest stop. Car comes up to the truck big man gets out and starts for me, pulled back coat to show 44 man stops turns around and goes away. Was he harmless i dont know but i did not like it and it did work out ok. I never go on the road without it!!

 

Yeah, thanks for clarifying. I did carry a Llama 1911 clone for a while. When I carried it, it was locked and cocked, but the holster had a snap-flap that I put between the hammer and firing pin.

I don't mind having safeties, but I've seen too many people rely on a "safety" and do something stupid. No safety is 100%.

Sorry, I've been offline since Valentine's day. In the sandbox, so I carry daily now too. BTW, it's NOT locked and cocked, but I have to say, it's not that hard to flip the safety off on the way up! Not really sure why so many people think that it is.

Edit: sorry, the comment re: flipping safety off was the M-9. On the 1911, my personal preference is to keep it in DA instead of locked/cocked.
