Nice! Was that up on top of Cedar Mountain?

Back in the day I drove my CJ5 from St. George to Cedar by way of the dirt roads past Kolob Reservoir and down Cedar Canyon. It’s gorgeous up there with all the aspen and those huge alpine meadows!

 

This week on Sons of Alimony

 

Yeah We passed that deer twice because it was probably a hundred feet from the gate that blocked our travels

 

If we made a right at some dumpsters we would have ended up at Kolob Reservoir instead.

It's a great drive especially when the aspens are changing.

I guess that's why it's called Color County.

These some terrible people that blast that entire area but I like to take it slow enough not to kick up dust.

 

Played with my new camera lens today after work. I have a lot to learn with it but immediate impressions are good.

 

Every other day there's another schmuck draining his or her transmission only to overfill their engine with oil

 

people are f**king geniuses

 

What gets me is when it's someone that has already serviced said car before

Seen that shit before on here and it keeps happening to people

But it shouldn't warrant any nanny signs

Just don't service it if you don't know how; it's perfectly ok not to know how to do something and have someone else do it

 

There were some tougher time financially when I was growing up, my Mom would make some good bean burritos outta minimal ingredients.

Did your mom ever pour out the bag of beans and sort out the bad ones to toss out before throwing them into the pot?

Fuck that's a memory I had forgotten about

 

When she made soups yes, when it was burritos it was usually because things were tight, she was working, so probably canned.

 

I just remember the bags for us were cheaper, plus you'd get refried beans from the left overs you didn't eat the first go around

That and those frozen cylinders of fruit juice

 

He had the perfect voice for Aku.

Only peripherally related, but the Genndy Tartakovsky version of Star Wars Clone Wars was every bit as good as Samurai Jack.

 

Such an iconic voice, Aku and Iroh are some of the most developed characters but man he had his hands and voice in a ton of 80s/90s/00s anime and so many regular cartoons too.

 

I liked those juice things, I never buy em unless I plan to make smoothies though

 

Fuck speaking of refried beans, we didn't get any beans yesterday when I got some bread flour
